Most of you know I’m a shopaholic… I just love to shop and buy lots of stuff too! Though I am being confined at home now but with the current technology, I can always shop online! hehehe… So, the shopping continue from home now!
Beside my obsessions with bento making gadgets, I am also into pocket diapers. I used to buy quite a lot when Darrius was younger but has stopped for a while when he was toilet trained later on. Now I have another reason to go back to this as I have Glennedine!
And my latest indulgence are these…
.

.
They are the newest cloth diaper system in the market now. They are a little different when compared to the previous cloth diapers I used to purchase. Instead of inserting the inserts/hems into the diaper this Gro Baby is a snap on. Which means, there is no pocket on the cover.

This morning my dad called me with a very bad news. He told me my ‘ah-pak’ (dad’s cousin brother) in Singapore has passed away this morning succumbing to lung cancer. Dad told me that ah-pak only detected it just a few weeks ago and was prepared to receive treatment this week. In fact he has already booked his flight ticket to Ipoh for my cousin’s wedding this weekend.
Sadly, he will not be attending…
He left behind a wife, a son, daughter in law and 2 grandchildren.
When I was working in Singapore many years ago, I used to go to his place in Tiong Bahru as he is the other relatives I have beside my uncle. In fact I had a few reunion dinners at his place when I did not return to M’sia due to work and studies. He is a good cook and I always enjoyed talking to him and his wife (my pak-meh).
His only son (my cousin) is currently working in Shanghai so his whole family is with him. Now that ah-pak is gone, pak-meh will be alone when my cousin brother go back to Shanghai. Though ah-pak and pak-meh used to bicker with each other but I know they really love each other as they always together.
All his life he was with Singapore Press Holding until he retired a few years ago. I hope he has enough social security disability so that my pak-meh do not need to worry too much about finances… even though I know my cousin is providing enough.
I wish my ah-pak’s soul will rest in peace…

Not sure if my instinct is right or wrong but I think Glennedine is teething!
She is only 2 months and 3 weeks old and she has started to drool a lot the past 1 week. She also started to suck her thumb or sometimes all her fingers! At first I thought she is bored since no one entertain her but after a few times I caught her doing that I begun to suspect that she is indeed teething.
.

.
A few times she has very watery/runny poo which gave me the hint. Though most breastfed babies has very soft stool, I know the differences between a normal and abnormal ones. Then this morning I caught her doing #2 when I was feeding her (normally she will give me signals that she wanted to poo as she will fart a few times or show me the uneasy look on her face thus I could get her potty ready) so I quickly lay her down. True enough there was some runny poo stained the diaper. Once I got her ready, I told her to ‘push’ and push she did! It actually shot out! It was so forceful that it ended up on my shirt and the floor!
This incident really confirmed my suspicion that she is indeed teething. After noting that she can’t sleep soundly the past few days… especially during nap time. She used to nap 2-3 hours each time but she has been fussing every 30 minutes or so now. When I fed her she will pull away after a few suckle too. I wonder if she is in pain?
I don’t know if this is good news or bad news but I’ll prefer her to have her teeth later.
Darrius has his when he was almost 7 months old if I’m not wrong. He did not drool that much as compared to Glennedine. So, I wonder do girls have their teeth sooner than boys?

I am left to clear all the Chinese New Year goodies! Is that good or what???? Of course not!!!
You see, most of these goodies such as cookies, chips, nuts and candies are either too heaty or extremely fattening! We bought quite a bit of these stuff to serve our visitors who came to ‘pai nien’ at our place usually on the first two days of Lunar New Yea. Since I did not bake much cookies this year, we got those commercial ones from the stores so they were not ‘laku’ hence we are left with a few cannisters which need to be cleared soon else they will be espired soon.
Since I am not a cookie person, I don’t usually take them if given the choice. Darrius is still coughing so I try not to let him eat so much and PiggyBeng is not into all these tit-bits so he normally never touch them. And all the cannisters are taking up space in the kitchen so to make space I guess I have no choice but to eat them myself!
I can feel my body heat is rising and I am anticipating some volcano eruptions soon! I better get some acne medications to standby so I can quickly ‘cool’ them down before the wedding next week!

After so many years, finally the integrated Resort World in Sentosa opens their door last Sunday. This is yet another of Uncle Lim’s project besides the one in Manila which opened late last year. One of PiggyBeng’s customer/supplier was involved in the project thus he was there to see some of the implementation work. Coincidentally, my ex-classmate’s hubby is the GM who managed the property there.
Look like the economy is slowly recovering with all the new casinos opening their doors recently. Hopefully the doom days for these casinos is a thing of the past…
And for the gamblers, another playground for them to bet their luck!
I am looking forward to visit Sentosa’s Resort World of course but with Glennedine in tow, we may have to wait a few more year! However, I do wish to get a glimpse of the new establishment when we on transit in Singapore en-route to Melbourne in the mid of this year. I so wanted to go to Universal Studio!!!
I enjoyed most of the rides when I was at the one in Los Angeles.
Of course I wanted to take a look at the new casino… and try my luck at the new slot machine rvm there!

I think most of us loathe the hot and humid weather during the Lunar New Year period. Sometimes I need to take a few showers a day just to cool my body down. However, the moment I stepped out from the bathroom, sweat will start to trickle down again!
With such weather, most people will get sick easily what’s more with munching on those festive goodies which are usually ‘heaty’ based. Darrius has been coughing since don’t know when and has not recover till now. Therefore, I usually boil soup with steam vegetables or fish for our meals. I will boil cooling tea on alternate days too to entice the little fella to drink more fluid. Other than that I will cook porridge to replace our regular meals for a healthier option.
Lately I have been cooking this pumpkin with scallops porridge which is everyone’s favorite at least once a week. I added peanuts and mince meat to add more flavors to it too.
.

.
Since we have been feasting for the past couple of days on those not so healthy food, having a bowl of this porridge is good for the body. At least it is less fattening! I’ll love to eat more porridge so I don’t have to worry about putting on too much weight and have to depends on weight loss products like relacore.

I was extremely glad last week when Glennedine’s face was clear of any rashes looking patches as Chinese New Year was approaching. She was ok through out the weekend but my happiness was kind of short lived as tiny dots started to appear on both her cheeks again yesterday.
Luckily we do not have any more visitors so I do not have to do any explanations. It was kind of sad that these things come and go. I tried not to apply the cream her pead prescribed as it contains steroid which is not good if used for long term so I just apply the paw-paw salve cream on her. Luckily she don’t need any acne scar removal as these infant acne will go away after a few months time.

I could not believe my eyes when I was looking through my page today! Finally my PR (Page Rank) is back!!!! Could this be a blunder by Google…. again??? I don’t know and I don’t care!!! hahahaha I’m just surprise to see it after such a loooooooooooooooong time!
.

.
I wonder how long it will stay this time. The last time I got it back after it got ripped off was way back in October 2007!
Anyhow, I don’t really bother now with all these page ranking since they don’t really affect my blogs that much though I’ll have less advertising opportunities. I’m too tired to track all the diretory submission services to check anyway…

Well, with a blink of the eyes, Chinese New Year came and gone and so is Valentine’s Day. We have been feasting for the past few days and I can feel my tummy has grew bigger too! Though Chinese New Year is still not completely over but I better start losing some weight before my cousin’s wedding which is set on the 15th day of the Lunar New Year else I won’t be able to fit into my dress! So now it is the best time to eat less since I have less than 2 weeks to go before the wedding!
Though I am very tempted with all those effective weight loss pills I read about at http://www.weightlosswand.com but as I am still breastfeeding Glennedine, I am not allowed to consume any weight loss pills so the next best things is to eat less and exercise more! I target to lose at least 5kg in less than 10 days! Wish me luck will ya???!!!
