Expensive water ahead

Water supply here in Malaysia is still considered as abundance as compared to some countries around the globe. When we move to Down Under, water supply will be scarce and it will cost us much much more as compared to now. We have to be be really careful when using water since water is scarce especially during summer.

Probably we have to use ‘recycle’ water for other purposes so we could save and not waste water. I heard there are some restrictions when it comes to watering plants as well as car washing. Probably we might need to get WeGotPumps.com goulds pump to do our own water treatment someday!

I just hope we’ll get to used to the new way of life there!!

Network like snail

When I read about Tom Cruise’s latest venture to make Top Gun 2, I was extremely excited and told PiggyBeng that I wanted to have Top Gun 1 to be downloaded so I can watch it again before Top Gun 2 comes. Since we have already cancelled our Internet, we only use mobile dongle which do not have the bandwidth.

With weak Internet connection, I can’t download video from youtube now so I thought I could do it at my dad’s place. However, when we were there, PiggyBeng discovered that my dad’s PI connection is just as bad! It moves like snail pace!!! What a bummer!!!!

Now I can’t watch Top Gun at all and I don’t think we can download any when we moved Down Under. :(

Packing and more packing

To be very honest, I have yet to seriously start my packing though we are left with just a week before the relo guys will be here! All I did was just dump some of the stuff into one corner and hopefully I can get them all sorted out by mid of next week. I am still feeling lousy till today… yes, at 18th weeks gestation!!! Just threw up a while ago… bleah~

We went shopping yesterday and bought a lot more stuff to be shipped along. There are still some stuff which we hope to get before the relo guys are here as there are stuff which are not available or could be expensive to get over there so we will just ship together. However, we won’t be getting any outdoor thermometers as yet. Will probably get them when we are there.

Can’t wait for this enormous task is over so we can get some rest…

Headache!

Not sure why. Each time when PiggyBeng is away, the sick bugs will sure to come for a visit! The past 2 nights Darrius has been complaining that it hurts when he tries to pee. He even wet his pants many time which is pretty unusual.

Last night, he was writhing in pain but it was like 2am in the morning so I told him we can only go to the doctor later in the afternoon after his class since the queue at the pead can be really long in the morning. After telling the pead, it is confirmed he has UTI but luckily it was not that serious since he has no high fever. Will have to monitor him for the next few days and hope he will recovers.

Because of all these impromptu stuff that happened, I can’t stick to my plans to go do some shopping. Saw some nice tattoo clothing the other day and thought I’ll go get a few pieces since they are so colorful. Well, gotta wait till things are more settled before I can think of going shopping!

Still feeling lousy

I am already in my 17th week now but I am still feeling lousy. Still have nausea every now and then and will throw up too. Probably my pro-longed cough contribute to that too and now I am having flu which make it worst. *sigh*

Since PiggyBeng is away for the week, I have to handle the kids on my own. MIL can’t render much help as she is always so busy with her own stuff. I have been screaming my lungs off as both kids turned into monsters the moment their daddy is away. :(

During my first pregnancy I have Thyroid imbalance where my heart palpitated. I have been having that same thing a few days ago and this has been coming on and off. I hope I don’t get it again! Probably due to the stress…. hopefully!

Home bound

We just got home from KL yesterday and it was one of the lousiest trip we ever had. Why? Well, both kids were sick the entire time making us home bound! It all started with Darrius getting food poisoning just before we arrived on Wednesday and the next night both kids were down with fever. What a bummer!

I’ve planned to shop a bit but all plans have to be cancelled since Glennedine’s fever did not subside and ended up we have to bring her to the GP. Then we have to wrestle with her while giving her the medication. :(

Since we are all home bound, I have no chance to go out so no chance to hunt for Christmas pressies for anyone. If any of you found any unusual christmas gifts for your husband do share with me okie?

Clearing all debts

Before we move away, there are much to do. We need to cancel most of our subscriptions so we still have time to check if they are property terminated. Knowing how ‘reliable’ some companies work… we have to really plan all these activities.

We don’t want to receive debt advice from any of these companies after we moved away else it will be so inconvenient for us to arrange for cancellations or payments.

When we leave, we wanted to be cleared from all our debts so that we can have a peace of mind when we settle down in our new place. So looking forward to our new beginning! :)

Kindy concert only in memory

We attended Darrius’s kindy concert last Tuesday after waiting for it for the longest time. It was a smooth sailing event with everything went on schedule. He finally received his scroll and ‘graduated’. I almost cried with tears of joy when looking at him standing on stage. Despite not doing too well this year (blame it on me for not spending enough time to do revision with him since I have been feeling lousy for the past months) he still went on to receive 2 awards.

He performed in a few dances and did pretty well. He only had one costume as the theme of the concert revolved around a garden. He is one of the red ants. All the costumes are custom made so we don’t have to get them from stores like Sherri Hill at TJFormal.com yet unless it is a prom nite! :)

It was a night we have been waiting for but what happened after the concert (only the next day) did I realized that one of the SD cards of my camera was missing! What a bummer!!!! Now, the whole concert is left with just a memory in our mind. :( I hope the school can give us a copy of the CD.

Next, it will be school prom and I vowed I’ll never make the same boo-hoo-hoo again of losing any SD cards!!!

He asked for a scooter

We intend to get the kids bicycles when we moved over since there will be ample space for them to ride around as compared to our current place. Australia is a place for out door activities so we are going to do a lot of that when we are there.

Initially Darrius asked for a bicycle but he decided to change his mind after watching a show where he saw kids riding scooters. To me, scooters are more dangerous for his age as he can be difficult to balance as compared to bicycles. At least, for bicycles, we can install the support wheels at the back until he is more steady and able to ride with just two wheels.

Well, we’ll see how it goes. We will definitely need to get some elbow & knee guards as well as some helmets for protection. However, we still don’t need any professional stuff like HJC IS-Max as yet since they are still kids. :)

Touring Australia

One of our dreams is to travel the whole of Australia in a RV when the kids grew up. It will definitely a fun thing to do and the kids will enjoy their time living in a RV or commonly known as motorhome. A cousin did that a few years back and her kids had so much fun!

We have seen a few of those RV parks while we were in Perth and Melbourne and it does look kinda fun. My aunt told me that many senior citizens actually do that to past their time. There are amenities in these parks which made it convenient for campers. However, I am not sure if there are motorhome repair available but I think it will not be tough to look for one since it is another way of life there.
