Most of you know I’m a shopaholic… I just love to shop and buy lots of stuff too! Though I am being confined at home now but with the current technology, I can always shop online! hehehe… So, the shopping continue from home now!

Beside my obsessions with bento making gadgets, I am also into pocket diapers. I used to buy quite a lot when Darrius was younger but has stopped for a while when he was toilet trained later on. Now I have another reason to go back to this as I have Glennedine!

They are the newest cloth diaper system in the market now. They are a little different when compared to the previous cloth diapers I used to purchase. Instead of inserting the inserts/hems into the diaper this Gro Baby is a snap on.  Which means, there is no pocket on the cover.

We don’t have the practice of changing our furniture every year or even every few years unless they are broken or no longer usable. Since most of them are still in good condition, they could last another 10 to 15 years easily!

However, when you have kids, there are always excuses to get their furniture instead! And of course we are talking about modern furniture here! In fact, I have been scouting for them for the longest time! Since we don’t stay in KL, we can’t go to Ikea all the time where those cute furniture are sold.

For the whole of last year, I have been trying to get my hands on those cute Mammut range of kids furniture for Darrius. I went to Ikea each time I am in KL but always lest with disappointment as these items are always out of stock! The staff even told me they will discontinue the series! I was sooooooo sad!!!

Then last year just before I gave birth to Glennedine, I went again to try my luck and to my surprise, they have them again!!! So, without any hessitation both my mom and me grabbed one set each!!!!

I got the round green table with a blue and dark pink chair (not in picture) while my mom bought the light pink rectangular table with a dark pink chair and I gave her my green chair. I’m a happy camper!!!

Last weekend while we were shopping in Tesco, PiggyBeng told me he wanted to look for a new door mat for our porch. I was surprised as the one we had currently was relatively new. It was a coconut husk mat which he bought a few months back. So I asked him why he wanted to change again? He said that the mat can’t hold sand and dust… Hmmmm….

He then told me a silly idea he was having and therefore he is out looking for the items. Well, PiggyBeng always have silly and funny ideas when it comes to home improvement… that explained why our house is like a Legoland!

Anyway, I told him that idea don’t work! Why want to waste money and time right? Just go get any discount rugs will do lar… not that our house is a big mansion!

Glennedine has been reluctant to sit in her car seat each time we put her in unless she is still asleep or still half conscious. We have been wondering why she refused the car seat? Was it too hard? Was it too straight up? Well, we don’t really know but since it is one of the more expensive car seat around, it is supposed to give little babies comfort as well as safety.

Anyway, after chatting with KittyCat, she told me to get a snuzzler for Glennedine so that the extra cushioning will give more comfort. Since I can’t go out to the malls to search for it I have to make the purchase online. It is not easy to shop with an infant… trust me!!! By buying online I also help with the green study, so why not eh? A few days later, the snuzzler arrived…

Glennedine only sat in it once yesterday and she still screamed her lungs out… so I am not sure why? Could it be too hot since it was noon time that I put her in? Will have to see a few more times..

Some of the technology we have today is really fantastic. Especially in the last few years. They have made our life so much easier especially when we are on the road.

I still remembered last time when we are on a road trip with my family, I will have to asssist my dad with the directions. I will be armed with a map and be the navigator for the trip. Though it works all the time (given the maps are the latest edition) but there are times we have to take many wrong turns to reach our destination.

We really got to be thankful that we have gadgets like Garmin GPS where reaching the right destination with minimal wrong turns!

This morning PiggyBeng messaged me telling that there is a huge surge in A(H1N1) cases in Penang until the hospital is over loaded with patients and all the isolation wards over filled. This is a very scary situation. He said there are many people who are recording high fever in the past few days… especially those in his office. Even one of his relative’s son is recording fever of 40 degree Celciusthe previous few days which is considered as a suspected case.

We are only six weeks away from our vacation and if the situation did not improve by then, we might have to postpone the trip or cancel it altogether. This is because the chances of contracting the virus is extremely high when we are in the plane since we will be ‘contained’ with only recycled air. Thus it is unwise for me to travel… but we really want to go!

Initially PiggyBeng has planned to travel to Melbourne from Perth as he needs to check out some stuff there. He has planned to camp at my cousin’s place since we will not be following. As my cousin has just moved there, she has limited furniture with her so I have intended to get him one of those sleeping bags to be used there. I was so tired yesterday that I went to bed so early (10pm) and I woke up early too! I was already tossing and turning around 3am and decided to come down around 5am. Before I go back to catch a few more winks I’ll just do this back dated post…

Ok, most of you must be wondering why Darrius has been bugging me that he wants to go to school right? Well, he don’t really know what is ‘going to school’ except knowing that there will be plenty of toys to play. One thing I must iterate is that when he starts to play, he won’t want to do anything else. If you tell him to stop playing, he will scream at the top of his lungs and will starts to throw whatever he is holding. He will be one fierce little monster.

So, I have been trying my best to train him to behave and control his temper. As he has never leave my/our sides before and going to a place without me or his daddy will be an entirely new and unfound experience. I’m not sure if he is ready to leave his comfort zone as yet but I know one day he will have to…

Last week, we went to that crazy Popular Book sale @ Midlands Park. It was the first day so only opened to members. We went quite late since it was a weekday and we have to wait for PiggyBeng to be back and also to wait for the after school traffic to ease first. When we arrived it was already 7.30pm and the entire place was stuffed with people with basket loads!

All the books were all mixed up so we have to rumble through from all the different sections. It was amazing as a lot of good and quality books are going off @ 90% off for members! Of course we don’t want to ‘jap-shue’ (don’t want to lose out) and grabbed a basket full. And we have to wait in line more than an hour just to pay! o_O

And these are the ‘inspiration’ that made Darrius want to go to school as I told him I will use these books to teach him when he goes to school/he has to bring the books to school… (ok, some white lies…)

Finally I have some time to complete this back-dated post!

PiggyBeng asked me what I want to do on my birthday and I said I want him to take a day pff so we can all go out together since he has so many AL balanced accumulated since our last trip to US in 2006. Initially he told me he can’t as he has a lot of work to do but he managed to get the day off just the day before.

Why I wanted him to be on leave that day? Well, I have another motive actually…. I wanted to register my home based business on that day! Yes, finally my cupcake shoppe has proper licensing now under this name…

I just can’t believe it that Chinese New Year is just less than 2 months away! Next year we will be joining my parents in Ipoh for reunion dinner after 3 years celebrating it with my in laws. How time flies!
