Choatic week

Published by Angeleyes under PJT-A, Blogging, Family

I can’t wait for each day to pass quickly as it is so chaotic since PiggyBeng went away on his business trip since Sunday night. It is not easy to mind two kids on my own. Though my MIL is around, having her or not do not make much of a difference since she felt sickly even before PiggyBeng was away.

For the past few days, I have been running around like a headless chicken the moment Glennedine wakes up. The first two days was hellish as I took some Ipoh White Coffee for breakfast which caused her to go cranky for most part of the day! I thought just one cup won’t be a problem but I guess she must be very sensitive to caffeine! :(

All these events are wearing me down and I think I lost some weight though I have been trying to clear all those CNY goodies. I don’t think the best slimming pills could make me lose weight as fast as dealing with all these events!

PiggyBeng will only be home next week which is another 7 days from now. Can’t wait for the week to pass by like lightning!!!!

Another year older

Published by Angeleyes under Celebration, Blogging, Family

Today I am one year older… time flies and soon I’ll hit the big 4!

Nothing extraordinary happened today except I got my first ‘Birthday present’ from my dear girl @ 3am this morning. Guess what did I get from her? Pumpkin sundae!

Anyway, we had as small celebration just the four of us at Equatorial Hotel, Penang. PiggyBeng bought me dinner. However, it was not so smooth sailing as Glennedine refused to sleep and was making so much noise over the 2.5 hours we were there.

Will be blogging more later on what we had for dinner. Need to hit the sack now as we will go down to Ipoh for the weekend to attend my cousin’s wedding.

For those in M’sia, happy holiday and happy weekend and Happy Chap Goh Meh to all!

A sad start

Published by Angeleyes under PJT-A, Family

This morning my dad called me with a very bad news. He told me my ‘ah-pak’ (dad’s cousin brother) in Singapore has passed away this morning succumbing to lung cancer. Dad told me that ah-pak only detected it just a few weeks ago and was prepared to receive treatment this week. In fact he has already booked his flight ticket to Ipoh for my cousin’s wedding this weekend.

Sadly, he will not be attending…

He left behind a wife, a son, daughter in law and 2 grandchildren.

When I was working in Singapore many years ago, I used to go to his place in Tiong Bahru as he is the other relatives I have beside my uncle. In fact I had a few reunion dinners at his place when I did not return to M’sia due to work and studies. He is a good cook and I always enjoyed talking to him and his wife (my pak-meh).

His only son (my cousin) is currently working in Shanghai so his whole family is with him. Now that ah-pak is gone, pak-meh will be alone when my cousin brother go back to Shanghai. Though ah-pak and pak-meh used to bicker with each other but I know they really love each other as they always together.

All his life he was with Singapore Press Holding until he retired a few years ago. I hope he has enough social security disability so that my pak-meh do not need to worry too much about finances… even though I know my cousin is providing enough.

I wish my ah-pak’s soul will rest in peace…

Glennedine’s Fullmoon Celebration

This is a very back-dated post!

.

We celebrated Glennedine’s full moon on New Year eve in KL before we head back to Penang. We did not do it big since we do not have that many relatives in KL so it was just a small celebration.

Since it was New Year eve, most places are crowded and PiggyBeng wanted a venue where it will be convenient for us and for his uncle who lives in Sri Damansara. After checking out a few restaurants, we decided to go for Ah Yat Abalone Forum Restaurant in PJ which seems to be in the central between Cheras and Damansara. At the same time, they were having some abalone promotions so it was a deal.

We arrived around 7pm and managed to find parking at the restaurant’s underground parking. The parking was in pretty bad shape though… the ceiling looked like it gonna fall off anytime! I saw some pieces of cracked ceiling boards and thought about malignant Mesothelioma which can be deadly. Luckily we managed to find a good spot away from those cracked ceiling boards.

Then when we went up, I was surprised to find 2 other restaurants occupying the premise. There was another seafood and a Japanese restaurant. Then when we went in to Ah Yat’s we found out half the restaurant was used for a wedding function… so we were very lucky to get a table and I managed to get us a private room! Imagine those noise coming from the wedding will sure to wake Glennedine up!

And here is the STAR on that night…

Dinner in Chili’s again…

Last Friday I did not cook dinner as we were supposed to take my father in law out for dinner but he has something on last minute so we went ahead on our own. As we have not been to Gurney Plaza for a long time so we decided to check out the place for dinner. However, we still ended up in Chili’s! Well, where else in Penang that serves decent burgers? :P

This was Glennedine’s first time in Chili’s but she did not get to see much since she was sleeping from the moment we arrived till we left! It was such a bliss to have dinner when she is in Zzzland! She was sleeping snugly inside the sarong sling.

One thing we noted was, Chili’s has revamped their menu! I saw some new dishes which I was so tempted to try… but I still ordered the burger as I always has craving for burgers! :P I think if I continue to eat and feast this way… I will surely need herbal colon cleanse to help me detox!!!

Glennedine is 1 month old!

fullmoon.JPG

.

Today is the day we have RED eggs and ANG-Kus as Glennedine turned 1 month! Finally mommy can ‘go free’!

How time flies!!!!!

She was a little more cranky than normal (don’t know what is the reasons) as we brought her out to the hospital to get her ears checked as well as went to collect the fullmoon packages (with nasi kunyit but before I could snap a pic, PiggyBeng had already ate a quarter of the pile…) which we had ordered for our relatives here in KL. She was awake most of the 2 hours we were out and about.

For personal record, here are her milestone…

  • lift her head up and stay up right for at least 10 second unassisted
  • flip over on her own on the 16th day! (my mom so shocked as she was the one who witness it)
  • can turn her head left or right when place on tummy
  • has been sleeping on tummy on day 7th
  • feed exclusively on mama’s milk
  • take in at least 2-3Oz of milk on each feed but can still continue to suckle non-stop even after she dosed off
  • a LOUD screamer just like her kor-kor!
  • on the way to potty training #2 (she only soiled her diaper once with poo-poo so far ever since she was back from the hospital) as she will know how to give cues to mommy when she wanna do #2
  • loved to be held up right

.

After we delivered all the fullmoon packages I went to have my hair cut and treatment… feel so good now! :)

Tonight we will be going out for dinner to have a small celebration with my family and PiggyBeng’s relatives.

HAPPY FULLMOON Lil’ Glennedine!

And…

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010 to everyone!!!!!

My 2nd Birth Story - She came fast & furious

Published by Angeleyes under Family, Events, Juz Glennedine

Glennedine was supposed to come on the 16th of December but she was two weeks early… which mean she was born on Week 38th. Initially we thought of inducing her on 12th of December if she did not come earlier but her sudden arrival on the 2nd of December put a rest to all our plans. I was still thinking I still have some time to feast on more food (thought I could increase her weight more) but my last meal was down the drain after delivery! :P

.

30th November

I went for my appointment to my obgyn and was told that baby’s head has turned but still not engaged. I was too preoccupied with checking her position that I forgot to ask him to check if I am already dilated (my biggest mistake) so I thought I can still carry her till week 39th or week 40th.

Why I seldom go online now?

Published by Angeleyes under Bleh~, Family

When I am in Penang, the entire PC belongs to me during the day so I can be online as long as I wanted. I can just leave the PC on and do my stuff as and when I want and Darrius will not disturb me. He will however bug me occasionally to let him type something but if I refused he will go away. But it is not the case here at my parents’ place. Beside sharing with my dad (he needs to check his shares/stock market), we have to share the PC with two other ‘users’ whom always refused to budge!

Apparently my dad has a huge folder filled with games (given by PiggyBeng!!!!!) and the kids found out since my dad used them to entertain them when the create havoc in the house. Now, there is no way we can fan the kids off as they will keep bugging my dad to play the games or play them themselves! When ever I walked near, Adrian will shoo me away… and thus, I have to leave and do something else…. *sigh*

I am so tempted to get a playstation 3 to lure the kids away!
