I can’t wait for each day to pass quickly as it is so chaotic since PiggyBeng went away on his business trip since Sunday night. It is not easy to mind two kids on my own. Though my MIL is around, having her or not do not make much of a difference since she felt sickly even before PiggyBeng was away.
For the past few days, I have been running around like a headless chicken the moment Glennedine wakes up. The first two days was hellish as I took some Ipoh White Coffee for breakfast which caused her to go cranky for most part of the day! I thought just one cup won’t be a problem but I guess she must be very sensitive to caffeine!
All these events are wearing me down and I think I lost some weight though I have been trying to clear all those CNY goodies. I don’t think the best slimming pills could make me lose weight as fast as dealing with all these events!
PiggyBeng will only be home next week which is another 7 days from now. Can’t wait for the week to pass by like lightning!!!!

Earlier this year we brought Glennedine to have her international passport made as we need it for some official matter. Now that she has her own passport, it is only right she gets her US Visa too since everyone in the family has it. Some of you may be wondering why we need to get her the US Visa so soon since we are not traveling into the US? Well, there are definitely plans else PiggyBeng won’t want to part with his RM450 for the non-refundable fee!
So, what is the first thing that we must do to start with the application? Taking photograph of course! We brought Glennedine to the usual photo studio near by our place for the job. For US Visa, we are required to have a 2″x2″ photo with white background. We are not allowed to do any editing to it else it will be rejected.
Previously when Glennedine has her passport photo taken, the studio has a blue cloth used as the background since she can’t hold up her head yet. This time, the same happened but the studio did not have any white background for her to lie on (probably it is uncommon for babies to get a US Visa). So, what did we do? Initially the photographer used a white shirt but when Glennedine kept moving her head, the cloth will move and shadows can be seen from the creases.
.

.
We were very fortunate that Glennedine did not make any fuss during the entire session but her notti kor-kor did! He tripped over the tripod and almost fell flat on his face!
I put on a collar romper for her as I am not sure if it was a requirement for the visa but it was for the international passport… so just to be on the safe side. Why not pink but blue? It was her kor-kor’s romper…
She looked boyish hor?
We spent quite a while figuring how to get a crease-less and shadowless photo but to no avail until an idea came to my head… we can use a stack of papers! Coincidentally the studio also has some photocopy machines so I told them to use some A3 papers for the background. And that did it!
Glennedine was smilling as she was intrigue with her surrounding I guessed. Luckily her face is clear from those acnes too so I don’t have to use any zit remedies on her prior to the photo taking session.
Now that the photos are fine, we are facing the next hurdle… booking for an interview. The US Visa’s site is in a terrible state! The server was extremely slow and PiggyBeng was cursing and swearing the whole of last night as he tried to fill in the application form so that we could book an interview slot for end of this month at the US Embassy.
Hopefully someone in the Embassy notices the problems in the server and has it fixed else we will have to spend our precious time sitting in front of the PC the whole weekend!

Today I am one year older… time flies and soon I’ll hit the big 4!
Nothing extraordinary happened today except I got my first ‘Birthday present’ from my dear girl @ 3am this morning. Guess what did I get from her? Pumpkin sundae!
Anyway, we had as small celebration just the four of us at Equatorial Hotel, Penang. PiggyBeng bought me dinner. However, it was not so smooth sailing as Glennedine refused to sleep and was making so much noise over the 2.5 hours we were there.
Will be blogging more later on what we had for dinner. Need to hit the sack now as we will go down to Ipoh for the weekend to attend my cousin’s wedding.
For those in M’sia, happy holiday and happy weekend and Happy Chap Goh Meh to all!

Most of you know I’m a shopaholic… I just love to shop and buy lots of stuff too! Though I am being confined at home now but with the current technology, I can always shop online! hehehe… So, the shopping continue from home now!
Beside my obsessions with bento making gadgets, I am also into pocket diapers. I used to buy quite a lot when Darrius was younger but has stopped for a while when he was toilet trained later on. Now I have another reason to go back to this as I have Glennedine!
And my latest indulgence are these…
.

.
They are the newest cloth diaper system in the market now. They are a little different when compared to the previous cloth diapers I used to purchase. Instead of inserting the inserts/hems into the diaper this Gro Baby is a snap on. Which means, there is no pocket on the cover.

… you have more things to pay than you’ve bargained for!
My little City is a little older than a 10 years old when PiggyBeng bought it for me 2 years ago. When we first got it, it was in tip top condition since the secondhand car agent has gave it a little face-lift before putting it out for sale. For the price we paid, it was a really good deal.
However, after 2 years, some parts started to give us problems. Every now and then, we found a few drops of engine oil on the floor. Countless visits to the mechanics did not managed to solve the problems.
Last month while PiggyBeng was driving it, out of a sudden the windscreen cracked! All of us could not find the reasons why it just cracked. Since it was an old car, we did not insured it so we have to repair it with money out from our pocket.
Anyhow, we do not intend to sell this car since I only use it to send Darrius to and from school and the occasional groceries shopping trips. It is quite under ultilise as a matter of fact. Therfore, I’ve never thought of ‘beautifying’ it or add any Mopar performance parts to it.

Rant! Rant! Rant!
My confinement ended almost 3 weeks ago. Some nice blogging friends sent Glennedine some pressies using our beloved postal service to my parents’ place in Cheras thinking of a little surprise. Our postal service is so good that out of all the pressies, only 1 arrived!
So, after checking with some mommies who sent us stuff, we discovered that the POS LAJU has a bunch of BIG LIARS! One mommy called up and checked on her parcel and was told that they have sent to my parents’ place but there were no one at home to receive the parcel and so they dropped a collection card. However, after checking with my dad, he said he did not see any Pos Laju guy coming nor receive any collection cards in our mailbox.
Then I called again last Wednesday to ask if I can reschedule for the parcel to be sent. The guy from the customer service said I can and rescheduled the parcel to be sent to my parents’ place last Friday but Friday came and gone and there were nothing in sight.
I told Yvonne about it and she called them again and she said I’ll have to collect from their office (in Belakong) by Monday (today) or else it will be sent back to her. So, I told my dad to collect on my behalf this morning.
Guess what???
The parcel is in Bangi!!!! And how the hack they told Yvonne that the parcel is in Cheras???
POS LAJU in Cheras is one of the worst postal service I’ve known. Your stuff will either dissapear or never arrive unless you go check it out in their office!!! Gggrrrrrrr!!!!
Luckily the Pos Laju in Penang is much more reliable…. at least I received all my stuff so far…

What happened on Monday was indeed a very sad day for all Haitians. Their hard lives have been plagued with more sadness than that they already have. The 7.0 magnitude earthquake not only brought down buildings but many lives too. The numbers are still uncertain as they are still unable to reach many that have been buried under buildings and wreckage. The scenario is so identical to the tsunami that took many lives 5 years ago.
I wonder how the Haitians can resume their lives back after this tragedy. I really pity the people who are already so poor.
Hopefully after they picked up and rebuild their life later on, they can look for a better life ahead. So, if you are looking for a caribbean vacation deals maybe you could choose to visit Haiti instead to bring their economy back.

Time really does flies!!! In less than a month we will be celebrating the Lunar New Year! I can still remember clearly how I spent hours baking cookies for last Lunar New Year and time just passed by in a blink of the eye! And this year, there won’t be any cookie productions since I have Glennedine!
This year we won’t be going to Ipoh for the 1st or 2nd day of CNY as well as my parents has decided to celebrate in KL instead as we need to be back in Ipoh on the 15th day (Chap Goh Meh) for my cousin sister’s wedding.
It is good also as we do not need to travel with Glennedine on long distance since she is still not very used to the baby car seat yet. At least we can avoid the yearly exodus of people travelling back to their hometown.
I really dread the traveling during festive seasons as we bound to get caught in traffic jams along the highways due to high rate of accidents that might occurs. I pity those who has to ride their bikes on such journey. Well, if you need to travel on a bike, it is better for you to get yourself an insurance coverage and a motorcycle accident lawyer!

With Chinese New Year around the corner, it is quite inevitable that crime rates will escalate. News of robberies and break-ins have been going up since we are still recovering from the economic crisis that plagued many of us. So, it is no surprise that many will turned to crime to get fast cash to tie themselves over the difficult time.
Well, to protect ourselves, we have been thinking of getting a home insurance as our area is very prone to break-ins. In fact our place is very popular with burglaries since it can be very quiet at night as both of our neighbors do not stay in their house during the night.

It is going to be a week we are back in Penang and life with 2 kids is definitely different! Can I say… I ‘lost’ my life? My days are filled with work and more work. There are just so much washing and cleaning to do everyday. I can hardly find much ‘ME’ time now. The only ‘ME’ time I have is when after I sent Darrius off to kindy (good thing the kindy has extended their hours from 8am to 12noon) and Glennedine is still sleeping which I normally used to check emails and read some news while having my breakfast. Then I am off to do washing endless loads of laundry… gosh! I wonder why out of a sudden there are so much laundry to do!
After being a laundry mama, I’m off to cleaning the rooms or the house and if Glenn wakes up, I’ll try to potty her and if there’s nothing, then I’ll bathe her. Play with her for a while and if she dozed off, then I’ll go prepare lunch before going to fetch Darrius. Luckily MIL is helping to keep an eye on Glenn while I go fetch Darrius.
Once Darrius is home, the house will turn a little more chaotic with his screams and Glenn’s cries. Before cooking, I’ll bathe Darrius first. This boy refused to eat by himself now so this busy mama has to feed him before sending him to his afternoon nap. Normally I will try to bring Glenn along and nap together.
By around 4pm, I’ll have to prepare dinner before PiggyBeng comes home. Dinner now will be mostly easy steam dishes only as I don’t have the luxury experimenting with new recipes or dishes. PiggyBeng will help to feed and bathe Darrius if I’m busy with Glenn.
Before bed time (which has moved forward from 10pm to 9pm) I’ll have to get Glenn ready. We tried to have some family time in the room before we light off.
The night will be never ending with constant feedings as our little princess has turned quite cranky at night since we came back. She will refused to sleep until passed midnight and will wake up once or twice before both PiggyBeng and myself have to wake up at 6am.
And the routine starts again!
I’m so sleep deprived!
