It was my MIL’s Birthday

Last week, on the 12th of January, it was my MIL’s birthday. There were no grand celebration but rather a small one where I just got her a small cake and share it with the kids.

My MIL don’t stay with us now so we only see her when she comes back during the day to do some prayers at the altar in the house. She was also very busy running from places before going to her mom’s place to help out in the late afternoon. So busy that she don’t even have time to promote the natural acne products which a relative asked her to sell.

This was purportedly a lychee cake I got for her from the new cake shop just a few steps away from our house…

The cake shop looks very nicely decorated so I was expecting some really good cakes there. However, I was deeply disappointed as they are just like any other old fashion cake shops. I thought I bought a lychee cake but it ended up to be a longan cake instead!

Luckily it was a very small cake (6″) so we have no problems finishing it. Afterall, my MIL is not a huge fan of cake so it was just the right size.
