Finishing all homework
I find that schooling these days are so much more stressful as compared to my time some 30+ years ago. I remembered during my time, I never have to do any homework in my pre-school years as most of the time we do them in the class when the teachers taught us the words of the day.
Sometime I kinda pity Darrius as he has a huge amount of homework to complete each day especially writing exercises which he loathes… he simply dislike anything that is repetitive! We have to spend so much time for just one or two pages of writing those ‘ABC’ as he will dream away after writing a few letters. We will waste even more time if he has to write Chinese words as Darrius really hates those with many strokes! He will dream, play, giving lots of excuses to go toilets and etc…

Before we leave for our trip, I made sure Darrius finished at least 60% of his homework which was givien by his teachers for his week long absence from the school. It was quite a lot since I tried making him complete them on Good Friday, before we start our journey. I let him do all the simple ones and brought the more complicated ones to KL to be done over the weekend before we go out for shopping.
I have to bribe him with many things so he will complete them. I even promised to let him play with our desktop computers if he write nicely. *sigh* So now we have more ‘users’ for our PCs… and I can foresee all of us fighting to us them one day!
