Why ah?
When kids start talking, there’s no way to stop them from asking questions. My ears have been stuffed with lots of ‘Why? Why? Why?’ since Darrius started his inquisitive quest.
As I am still groggy from my morning sickness, I can tell you I hardly have the patience to answer all his questions and I normally threw the question back at him. Instead of giving me a blank look like the earlier days, he will retort back at me instead! Kids!
Here are some of the ‘questions’ where I don’t have the intelligence to answer:

Question 1
Darrius is currently very obsessed with the short TV clip ‘The Owl’ which is usually aired after news on NTV 7. He thinks it is very funny…
Darrius: Mommy, later got owl or not?
Me: I don’t know. You wait till the news ends lor.
Darrius: I want my owl!!!!
Me: You go ask the TV got owl or not lor!
Darrius: The TV don’t have mouth lar…. how to answer?
Me: DUH!

Question 2
Me: Oh! It is raining!!
Darrius: Why it rains ah?
Me: (too lazy to explain since my science is bad) I don’t know. You ask the sky lar!
Darrius: The sky don’t have mouth lar. Only got clouds.
Me:

See lar…. this boy is driving me up the wall everyday… really no energy to talk to him…
My common answer lately is “Mummy is tired now la…can I answer you later”
of course they will ask back ” Why are you always tired lately”
its part of growing up! maybe you want to direct darrius to ask daddy??
Yeah I will answer, ask daddy.
When born, we hope they can sit. When sit, hope they can walk. When walk, hope they can run. When run, hope they can talk. When talk, we feel like pushing him back into the hole …LOL!

Hahaha…Lucas is now on the “Why not?” and “What’s wrongggggg?” to each NO I say to his sweets, ice-cream or horrible “Simpsons: The Movie” DVD!
Sometimes I ignore him too but he’ll grab my cheeks to face him and demand for an answer…ugh…
