We are back in Penang…

Finally we reached Penang after spending more than 6 hours in and off the car. This was one of the longest journey back for us as we went about doing quite a lot of stuff on the way which took more than 4 hours plus we used to take on our regular journey back.

Instead of driving straight and hitting the highway we went to pick my cousin along Jalan Pudu and we were stuck in the usual morning rush jam… the famous Cheras traffic jam. We were trapped in the bottle neck near Taman Connaught and found one truck suffered a punture tire in the middle of the road… which caused the car to slow down into a crawl.

PiggyBeng was grumbling away. He told me, how nice if we have something like those GPS Tracking systems in the West where we can see the traffic condition before we start our journey so we can avoid all the jams. We were late picking my cousin of course.

Then we headed over to Seksyen 14 for me to get some bakery supply stuff. Luckily the traffic was smooth so we got there quite fast and zoomed off using Federal Highway and cutting through Bangsar. We managed to get into the North South Highway and reached Ipoh after 2 hours plus.

Went to get some stuff nearby my cousin’s place and we dropped her off at her house before we head to town for lunch. We went to the Ipoh Old Town for some White Coffee and noodles before hitting the highway again. Took us around 1.5 hours to reach Penang.

It was good to be back after more than 3 weeks doing nothing in KL….
