2nd time at the dam

Published by Angeleyes under Weekends, Blogging, Family

A very back dated post…

Ever since we discovered about my ‘lump’, PiggyBeng has been complaining that I did not do enough exercise which causes all my pores/ducts to be blocked. Well, don’t know how true but he has been stressing me to do more outdoor exercise…

So, on the first week of May we went to a nearby park at Bukit Dumbar for some exercise. It has been a long-long time since I put on my sport shoes and guess what happened? My soles dropped off! I bought this pair in Singapore before my wedding (to shed some weight to fit into the wedding gowns).
PiggyBeng felt the place is not too suitable as it is a little too hilly and hot (not enough trees) so we went to Air Itam Dam a few days later. This is our (Darrius and myself) second time visiting the dam. The last time we were there, Darrius can’t even walk! He was on the stroller then and this time we walked the whole circle around the dam! :)

It was a nice evening and the place was quite crowded with joggers as well as family bringing kids to enjoy the nice scenery and breath in the fresh air. At least the air is not as contaminated as down the hill. Have not seen hibiscus for a long time and this white one is so nice so I decided to snap a close-up.

Sexy costumes for me?

Published by Angeleyes under Kerja Sampingan, PJT-A

I guess not many Asian ladies are into sexy costumes as compared to their Western counterparts. I must say we Asians are more conservative and do not like to ‘over expose’ though more and more youngsters are going into the trend… well maybe not in Malaysia but i have seen a few girls putting on bikini tops along Orchard Road.

Will I get myself some? I probably would if I have beautiful body like Cindy Crowford too flaunt! Too bad I have too many spare tires and I don’t think my Ah Beng will approve of it! Maybe limit to the bedroom only?

Playing catch-up

Published by Angeleyes under Bleh~, Blogging

I’ve not been seriously blogging for the past few days as i have some cupcakes orders to fulfill. Was so glad I have finally completed some of the most challenging cupcakes orders as they required me to do modelling of figures and characters!

Then I have a load of unfinished posts where I still have not have the time to organize all the photos and writing the these posts… so you guys will see a lot of back dated posts again! Yeah… yeah… another catch up game! Also, with so many blogs to maintain, a challenging toddler to care for and a cake business, I’m surprised I’m still sane!

Well, finally it is Friday (TGIF) and I can’t wait for next week as we will be off to KL again! :)

Going to be our 4th year

Published by Angeleyes under Kerja Sampingan, PJT-A

Time really flies. In less than 2 months we will be celebrating our wedding registration anniversary. This year it will be our forth. In the last three years, we did not get to celebrate in any fancy fashion as the first I was heavily preggy with Darrius and on the 2nd year, if I’m not mistaken PiggyBeng was away on business trip and on the third year we did not do much either.

So, should we be celebrating our 4th year together, maybe I should demand for something more romantic? Since we have not been ‘overseas’ for the last 1.5 years, maybe a romantic getaway will be ideal. Maybe a few weeks at Outer Banks rentals will be nice…

If I have the money…

Published by Angeleyes under Kerja Sampingan, PJT-A

…then I will make more investment in properties. In the last couple of years the only thing that worth investing in is properties which can have more lucrative returns as well. Too bad that I’m not working now so there is no way I can make enough to get my hands on those properties which I have been eying.

Well, maybe I should go try my luck at TOTO now as their Jackpot has reached the hefty sum of some RM14 million! If I have the chance to strike, then I can even own one of those great properties up at Corpus Christi real estate! Can’t wait till Saturday so I can place my bet! :P

Time to have a business card

Published by Angeleyes under Others, Kerja Sampingan, PJT-A

My little cupcakes business is growing and I think it is about time that I get myself some business cards to be distributed to all my customers, current and future. In fact I have been doodling about with the designs and since I was not too good with most of the design software, I just can’t come out with a nice logo or design for it.

Then I found this website that provide simple logo design for business cards and I think it is the best solution for the time being! It is so easy to use and there are so many pre-set logos to choose from.

So, if you need a quick business card for your business, check out LogoYes.com and get your cards printed!

Is he ready for Kindy?

I received a brochure from a Kindergarten a few weeks back and in it, it mentioned about a new branch opening around our area. The place is about 5 mins drive away in a nearby neighborhood. Today, they have a ‘Open Day’ and if anyone sign up for their program will get a pair of uniform for Free which is worth RM25 (for Darrius’s size).

It was drizzling the whole morning, which I have intended to go at around 10am but have to change our plan. So we waited till after lunch but it was still drizzling… nevertheless, I decided we just go ahead since it was not pouring.

When we reached the roll of houses (all 3-storeys semi detached houses), we were shocked to see a few Kindergartens on the same roll! If I remember correctly, there were 4 altogether! This is the first time I see so many kindy in one roll…. basically next to each other!

The one we went was at the end of the road. It was just 2 houses away from the dead-end. They erected a tent and I could see they have been serving some refreshment for those who came to view the place. (I did not take any photos as there were so many people starring at us since we were among the last few that arrived).

We went in and immediately Darrius was stuck with the push car and refused to go. Have to bluff him so many times. The principle of another branch brought us tour around and introduce us to the place and explained to us the curriculum. I was not quite impressed with the way they speak in the first place. They told me they only conduct their classes in English but from the time I called up to inquire till I was there, I can see their grasp of the English language is not up to my standard. Most of them have the ‘Chinese accent’ which I hope Darrius will not learn from school… since his mommy already speaking ‘Singlish’ with him at home… :P which is already a very bad influence.

I wanted to let Darrius try the 1/2 day session which is called ‘Study group - Nursery 1′ for 2-3 years old. Classes will commence from 8.30 to 12 noon. There will be reading, phonics, writing, art and crafts as well as ’sport’ which I am still wondering what can they do in that small compound (and we have to get Darrius a sport suit @ RM16). The fees is about RM200 and they follow all the school holidays… which means when it is school holidays or public holidays there will be no classes/lessons but we still have to pay in full. That means, if I send Darrius there, for November and December he will be at home with me! What’s the point????

Then I asked if there is any trial sessions and the principle told me - NO. Well, I can’t be risking my $$$ on the uniform and all the misc fees and what if Darrius has phobia being left by mommy and decided not to go to school??? What am I going to do with the uniforms?

It is a tough decision for us and we are still unsure if Darrius is ready…

.

p/s: PiggyBeng was not impressed at all and showed black face the entire session. And the principle that spoke to us colored/painted her eyes like kena punched liddat… so black and weird looking. And the principle of that branch… looked more like a cleaning auntie… no air of authority at all (her hand shake was not firm at all)… can you picture our concerns?

What an experience!

Published by Angeleyes under Blogging, Health

This is a backdated post….

After the pains and worries, I decided to have a minor surgery to ‘cut’ away my tiny lump which has since subsided a lot after taking the antibiotics that gave me a week of nausea. I made an appointment with my surgeon and got rid of it last week.

On that morning, PiggyBeng (he took a day off) went to drop my appointment card and was hoping we can get all the admission done but there was some hiccups! He came back extremely angry as he was being pushed around by the hospital staff as they did not get any instructions from my surgeon. Apparently my surgeon did not scheduled my session with the OT (operation theater). It is also partly my fault for not calling him up the day before to reconfirm. Then I made some calls and managed to get things organized.

At about 8.45am we were off to the hospital. Luckily it was less than 2 mins drive away. Then we spent almost 30 minutes to get the admission done and was shown to my room. I used my Health Card so I got a very spacious single room in their new wing… come with a 32″ LCD too!

These sandals are great for walking

Published by Angeleyes under Kerja Sampingan, PJT-A

Ever since I went back to study a few years back, I ditched all my high heels for sandals as they are more comfortable since I have to walk to and from the bus stop. Further more, sandals are so convenient as I can just slip in and out from them.

Lately I have been looking for a new pair of sandals as all the ones that I have previously have either tore or simply out of style. Then I chanced upon the brand Dansko, and I really like what they have. Beside having evergreen type of designs, they are built with comfort to your feet.

With having to chase Darrius all the time while we are in the malls or elsewhere, I truly need a good pair of sandals. And this pair of Dansko Raleigh - Spice Calf Leather is my kind of sandals that are great for walking!

3-in-1 Solution

Published by Angeleyes under Kerja Sampingan, PJT-A

Are you or have you been searching for an answer to your weight problems as well as thoseĀ  fine lines around your eyes that kept appearing no matter what you do to keep them at bay? especially moms like myself, after childbirth, we can’t run away from these problems. I have my fair share of headaches when I see the scale and the mirror all the time.

Now that I read about the recent lipovox reviews, I think I finally found the solution to my problems. Lipovox not only helps to reduce weight but it helps to reduce both acne and wrinkles too!

Lipovox is made of Green tea Extract, so it is very effective for weight loss as well as providing tons of antioxidants that helps fight inflammation which causes obesity and wrinkles. Also, it contains other vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids such as omega-3.

So, if you are facing the above problems, you can give Lipovox a try and see if it works for you too.
