To all Queensbay Mall’s patrons… Please be informed that there will be a revised carpark rates effective from 21 April 2008. This is beginning to look like parking rates charged in malls around KL…. *sigh*

Queensbay Mall’s current car park rates will be revised to new rates, effective 21 April 2008 and 28 April 2008 for Basement and Multi Level Car Park respectively.
Basement – LG & LM (effective April 21, 2008 onwards)
1st Three (3) Hours is RM1.00; Subsequent Hour is RM1.00
Multi Level – Level 3 to Level 8 Car Parks (effective April 28, onwards)
1st Five (5) Hours i RM1.00; Subsequent Hour is RM1.00
Open Car Parks remains at RM1.00 per entry

Why must they charge more for basement parking???? Ain’t all parking lots are the same? Most people prefers to park in the basement because it will be more convenient to push the shopping cart after we made purchases from the supermarket which is normally the last stop. Those parking on the multilevel are not cart friendly… Imagine if we have loads of groceries and we still need to go up a flight of stairs and walk a distance to where we park our cars… Don’t know which smart ass came out with that idea!
They must be thinking they are Gurney Plaza… *sigh*

Not much difference la….if you park in the multistorey, you can take the lift ma…it will take you right to your floor. Even if you get a parking far away from the entrance in the basement, you still have to walk with groceries.
The reason ppl like to park in the basement (I think) is because of the saving of petrol – no need to drive up all the way.

guess costs are going up up up.. we are the poor victims
in sg we not only have to pay car parks in shopping malls but we also have to pay car parks in our own housing estates..sob sob not the private estates but the grassroots area. if u own a govt flat, u also have to pay your season parking, monthly, quarterly or half yearly or giro… and these are public carparks too… i have a feeling they might be raising these charges too cos the malls have increased as well… @#*!%*#@
I was about to blog on this, you beat me to it. Hahaha…come lets all boycott Queensbay mall. Make them reduce their parking fee. It is pretty dead without us.
eh this parking rate is cheap liow la! Wait till you park your car at KLCC or Pavillion. U will surely cry!
Better than here woh, if city centre, rompak lah, like AU$8 per hour.
Suburban malls generally as follows:
0-3 hours FREE
3-4 hours AU$5
4-5 hours AU$8
5-6 hours AU$12
6-7 hours AU$15
Over 7 hours AU$25
Sundays FREE
At least Sundays Free but not sure if free sundays applies to other suburban malls
Apalah.. first time I heard management tier the parking rates that way. What logic???
that’s still quite ok compared to KL and recently there’s a few malls in KL which increased rates too… sigh…
