Nice time @ Crowne Plaza KL

Another very back dated post.

We were in KL from 15-20 February. The whole reason was, PiggyBeng has to give a speech for an opening ceremony of some joint venture between Japan and Malaysia. Due to that, it is considered as a business trip and we were lucky that it coincide with Chinese New Year. I was extremely glad that we could celebrate my dad’s birthday too which fell on 18 February. We had an early celebration as we need to check in the hotel on his actual birth date.

This time we stayed at Crowne Plaza Hotel which was KL Hilton formerly. Though it was not as convenient as The Grand Millennium which is next to Pavillion but we are actually in between KLCC and Pavillion! And the room we had was right up on the 28th floor. Though we did not get the KLCC view we get to see the other side which was filled with high rise and a strategic sight of KL Tower.

The only setback was, there isn’t any kids or baby pool in this hotel. I guessed it is a business hotel by judging from the amount of business people having breakfast in the coffee house. We had an early breakfast the next day and the entire coffee house was filled with people so we decided to go later the following day.

This trip, Darrius thoroughly enjoyed himself as he gets his own ‘pool’ in the room! Yep, we filled the bath tub up for him since he can’t swim in the pool downstairs. And the best thing was, there was a opening (sliding window) between the bathroom from the bed which is really cool. At least we can keep an eye on Darrius while he is playing in the tub while we do our things… watching TV and surfing the net lar! What are you thinking of??? Oh yeah, they have free internet connection in every room.

On the first evening, we brought Darrius to the park next to KLCC. I telyu, he was having so much fun running and sliding from slide to slide! This is the first time we were there and we were amazed by the size of the park! As it was a Monday, the park was not crowded with people so Darrius can run and play all he wants.

The next evening PiggyBeng has to attend his function so I was left alone with Darrius. And I was glad we have this time to ourselves so we can meet up with another fabulous mommy! We finally met up with Paik Ling and had dinner together in a Vietnamese restaurant somewhere in Bukit Bintang. We had pho and a few other dishes. Of course Darrius was having a blast in the restaurant with all the waiters and waitresses kacau-ing him. Thanks to Paik Ling for the great dinner!

It was a great trip and guess what? We will be in KL again next week! If there is an opening ceremony of course there will be a closing ceremony too. PiggyBeng is required to be there as well so we will be back to Crowne Plaza Hotel again…. wooooooohoooooo!!!
