Change – It is what the people will get!

I still can’t believe it that Penang has finally fell into the grasp of the oppositions for the second time in history. Many are happy for getting a new state government as I could see many of the people here are very fed-up with the past state government. In fact, there are a few surprises so far as Kedah has also gone to the oppositions. From here we can clearly see what the people really wants – CHANGE!

Though I am not a thoroughbred Penangite, I felt my involvement particularly in this state has made a difference in the results tonight. However, winning is not a bed of roses though. We have received calls from relatives telling us to stay in door as there are some unrest in a few areas.

Anyway, I just hope everyone will not have adverse reaction to the final results or we will see uglier incidents in the coming days… (which will jeopardise our KL trips!)

Whatever it is, like most Penangites, I hope we will see a better Penang in the near future…

I’m watching it closely too. I hope there are changes.. Malaysian needs it bad.

  2. We went to Tesco because both kids woke up at odd hour, 9 pm instead of sleeping the night through. So we thought we do some grocery shopping tonight instead of tommorrow.

wow, you can see the shelves at Tesco being wiped clean. There isnt any can food left on the shelves except for sardines and baked beans. And people are literally racing their shopping carts through the aisles. Scary to think what may happened if an emergency did arise.

There will be no emergency as people are smarter now. Do you part in not spreading SMSes.

Selangor is also an opposition state. I have been receiving congratulatory messages since morning from friends.

Congrats to Penang. I salute all residents there.

it really feels scary when there is such a huge change in the country. Now that we have kid and family, it isnt easy to run away. Just hope our politic will still be strong and stable despite the change.
