Monkey sees Monkey do

Last week when we returned to Penang, I went out on a lunch date with Darrius the next day. We met up with KittyCat and her son, Lucas in Queens Bay Mall. We had lunch at Pastasia… food wise so-so only and what you see on the menu may not look the same when they bring the dish to you. Ok… I digress…

When the food started to come, I put on the bib for Darrius while KittyCat put on for Lucas. However, Lucas did not want to have the bib so he kept saying ‘em-mai, em-mai‘ (No in Hokkien). Upon hearing this, it registered in Darrius’s mind…

So, now whatever we asked him (besides food) he will reply ‘em-mai‘. *sigh*

This is only a small part of the ‘Monkey see, monkey do‘ business. In recent months we noticed Darrius will do what ever stunts he sees other kids are doing when he’s in the kiddyland. Hopefully this is only a phase.

In fact that was the whole reason why PiggyBeng refused to let the lil monster to attend any play schools… he afraid the lil monster will learn all the bad things!
