It’s Genting again!

Published by Angeleyes under Family Vacations, Family

The title says it all!

Yeap, we went up to Genting again on the previous weekend after we check-out from the hotel. We had great fun on our previous trip up on the mountain that this time even my brother and his family came along. So this time there were two cars since we don’t have a MPV. My dad followed our car whereby my mom was in my brother’s car.

It was a smooth journey up and the weather was quite good except for the visibility. Maybe it was gloomy and was quite misty so we have a little trouble seeing the road. PiggyBeng made a wrong turn and we have to go one big round before we get to the parking bay.

The initial plan was to go close my dormant MayBank account (I did my internship there so I opened an account with the MayBank there so must go back to the same branch to close the account… so troublesome) but ended up I forgot to bring my passbook! *bang head*

Anyhow, shortly after we arrived, the restaurant that we wanted to have our lunch, Coffee Terrace was not open yet so we loitered around the arcade and let Darrius enjoy himself. Then when it was around 12+ we went in and eat till around 2.30pm! I ate so much that my tummy wanna burst!

Before we proceed into the restaurant, I made Darrius posed in front of the restaurant again (with his new sweater, X’mas pressie from this pretty mommy)… I simply like the new Zen look the restaurant adopted. Though they are not using all the Japanese furniture inside the restaurant but the overall refurbishing was quite well done. It looks so much better than before…

After lunch we split up. My parents went into the casino while we brought my bother and his family around the resort. We had a great time checking out some of the outdoor stuff as the weather was really good…. cooling enough for a slow stroll.

After all the hill trekking, all were dead tired so we decided to wait for my parents at the cafe just opposite the Coffee Terrace. Then both myself and PiggyBeng decided to check out the casino so we left Darrius with my brother before my dad came to bring him to the arcade again. My little nephew was really tired and he slept most of the time… guessed the weather was damn nice for him to zzz.

As we would like to try our luck again I went to renew my WorldCard. However, we still do not have much luck this time and lost another RM10 to the Tiger Machine (jackpot). Had wanted to play some more but my dad called and said Darrius is looking for me…. So off we go.

Before going back, we stopped by the Chin Swee temple again as my brother and my SIL has not seen the newly refurbished temple. Too bad it started to rain heavily so we can’t do any outdoor shoot.

Then we went to have dinner at this Tien Siang Tien Restaurant at Cheras Perdana for dinner. The dishes were so-so only (very small portion) but quite expensive! Sorry forgot to take photos as I was too busy attending to Darrius.

Another fun-tastic time @ Crowne Plaza KL

Published by Angeleyes under Family Vacations, Family

We came to KL on the 12th of March and spent the first 2 nights at Crowne Plaza again. Initially we have wanted to stay in Shangri-La but found that it is not as convenient as Crowne Plaza (both KLCC and Pavalion are just walking distance away). We had such a great time a few weeks back and again the person who enjoyed the short vacation stay most is of course Darrius lar! :P

This time I remembered to bring more toys for the Lil’ fella so both PiggyBeng and myself can have some peace while the Lil’ fella entertained himself in the bathtub. Thanks to this mommy who gave Darrius some erasable crayons on his birthday which can be used even in the tub! Darrius was having such great time scribbling on the tub but mommy had a hard time cleaning the it after that!

With the crayons I can at least watch some TV programmes while PiggyBeng catch up on his work. We don’t have to keep running in to the bathroom to check on him as there’s a door next to the bed which is oh so convenient! We just need to peep at him occasionally.

The only set back was on the second day he was having so much fun that even he wanted to do his big biz he refused to go to the throne! And guess what? He poo-ed in his swimming trunk! Yeeeeeeewww! Poor mommy has to do the washing of course! :(

On the second night, while PiggyBeng attends his dinner function, we were supposed to have dinner with this mommy but her big bosses were in town and she has to entertain them so we have to cancel our dinner date. Therefore, I brought Darrius to Pavilion instead. I have wanted to dine in one of the restaurant there but thinking only 2 of us, we can’t be eating much so forgo the idea. Then I thought I can try the Vietnamese Pho (beef noodles) in the Republic Foodcourt but the place is not baby friendly as they don’t have baby chairs available so I have no choice but to dine at one of the Japanese restaurant… at least someone will serve us so I don’t have to leave Darrius alone waiting for me to get my dinner.

Before we go out, I got the Lil’ fella to do some posing on the bed… :P Darrius really likes the hotel’s memory foam mattress as it is so bouncy! Then we took a slow stroll to Pavilion which was about 10 minutes walk away from the back of the hotel. When we arrived, I noticed J.Co Donuts has a small crowd so I decided to queue for some donuts before proceeding to look for my dinner. To my disappointment, the quality of J.Co Donuts have depreciated so much since the last time I ate them which was just a few months back! The donuts looked so poorly frosted (probably they have so much business that they don’t even bother with their appearance anymore)! This will be my last time buying these donuts as they don’t taste as good anymore… Quality drops big time!

Even Darrius who used to be able to finish the entire donut the last time refused to finish it this time round. He only took a few bites and wanted my Sapporo Ramen instead! Don’t that explained how terrible the donuts are now? Even a small boy rejected them! :|

Do you know?

Published by Angeleyes under Kerja Sampingan, PJT-A

How many of you know that those tress planted along the North South highway are teak wood trees? Don’t think most of you noticed right? Well, that was what PiggyBeng has been telling me. He said that those trees beside giving some shades, the government also have other ideas behind… to use the teak wood when they grew to the right age to produce teak furniture.

To be honest, I’ve never thought of that before! I mean, those trees looked so skinny all the time and I wonder what can they do?

How I wish I have AFC in Penang!

Published by Angeleyes under Kerja Sampingan, PJT-A

We did not subscribe ASTRO in Penang so I can only watch it when I’m at my parents’ place. Though I don’t really miss it much but with the additional channels lately it made me want to subscribe to the service! Too bad that PiggyBeng is still opposing to the idea. :(

Anyway, I was so in love with this AFC (Asian Food Channel) which broadcast all the food related programmes. One of my favourite is License to Grill. I never knew we can do so many stuff with the grill even though I’ve used it when I was living in Perth. It never occurred to me to even use the grill cover when I grill stuff. I’m such a lulu!

How I wish if I could just subscribe to this channel only as the rest are not worth subscribing… since I am not keen in long winded dramas (no time with Darrius around) and all those repeated programmes.

Protecting your kids

Published by Angeleyes under Kerja Sampingan, PJT-A

While chatting with my brother the other night on the cost of delivering and bringing up a kid, we touched on the education funds topic. My brother was lamenting on the high cost involved even just to bring up one kid what is more if he has a few?

He told me he just bought an education fund insurance policy for his son. I did not ask him how much he paid for the premium but from the tone of his voice I knew he paid a lot! I wonder if he made any comparison with the different life insurance rates before deciding on purchasing the education policy instead of a life insurance policy.

Lazy and moodless

Published by Angeleyes under Misc

Thanks to all my loyal readers and friends for coming by this humble blog of the moomoo cow… I have not been updating this place the religiously as I have been infected with the Lazigitive syndrome which made me so lazy and moodless to blog! :P It is so unheard of for a marathon blogger like myself right???? :lo:

Anyway, aside from being lazy I was also bogged down by Darrius’s endless monkeying antics which has sent my blood pressure shooting sky high! You could not imagine how rascal he can be when he’s at home or out in the malls! My mom suspected that he is filled with jealousies as my little nephew is currently staying with my parents. He will be very jealous whenever he sees my mom is cradling the baby or play with the baby. He will then starts to do all the annoying things to annoy us. When the baby is sleeping and we asked him to hush he will purposely take his toy cars and roll them on the wall to make those screeching sound which will sure to wake the baby up.

All these will go on the entire day which made me so tired (all the screaming back and threatening with cane and etc) but lil devil just got worst… *sigh* How lar???

Both my mom and myself is really out of our wits now. At the end of the day we will be so flatten and our bodies aching away. How I wish I can afford one of these massage chair so both of us can sit and get our muscles to relax.

Also, I have a few cupcakes orders this week so that will take up some of my time too. Hopefully I can have time to complete most of my back logs especially those tasked which were assigned to me… or else I could be eliminated from their list!

Arrrggghhhhh again!

Published by Angeleyes under Rants, My Prince

We have been at my parents place for a week now and it seems like forever! Why? Darrius has been driving me and my parents nuts! This boy is turning into a horrible monster with his screams and tantrums! Though you may thought that I have extra hands to mind Darrius with my parents around… but Darrius is no longer the ‘kwai’ (obedient) grandchild anymore and he kept on annoying everyone! Arrrggghhh!

We went out a couple of time shopping and this boy will scream whenever he can’t get his way. I can practically hear him even I was at the other end of the complex! Yes… that was how horrible this boy is now! So don’t be deceived by him when you see him so shy looking. :(

Last night we went to Tesco and was having dinner and when he saw my dad bought a coconut drink, he refused his rice and insisted to drink the coconut. I refused him and he screamed until everyone in the entire food court was staring at us…. soooooo embarrassing! I think all the aunties and uncles eating there must be think what a lousy mommy I am for not even able to discipline just one child.

This morning he annoyed me so much I really felt like strangling him! As my little nephew is here and still sleeping very soundly, I kept telling Darrius not to make noise but this rascal just refused to listen. He will talk louder than usual, screaming all the time and kept bugging me! No peace! Even after I smack him with the cane he is still doing all the annoying things! You say my BP rise or not? I think I’m going to have high blood pressure lioa!

A much needed vacation

Published by Angeleyes under Kerja Sampingan, PJT-A

It has been more than a year since I last go on an overseas vacation. And I must say I desperately needed one soon as I am going insane with a chaotic toddler at home!

How I wish I could check into one of those beautiful holiday villa at Branson Missouri so I could leave all my headache and worries behind… even if it only for a short while. The change of environment will definitely be good to my body and mind.

A dark past

Published by Angeleyes under Kerja Sampingan, PJT-A

Was just chatting with my dad a couple of days ago and he was telling me about some of his ex-colleagues’ kids whom were trapped with the wrong companies. As most parents have to spend a great deal of time working, very often their kids are left to fend for themselves. I felt so blessed that my brother and myself do not have such dark past.

And there is no surprise that some of them are involved with drugs. Though the parents sent some of them for drug rehabilitation but not all of them ended up drugs free. Some will still go back to their old ways when those bad company ‘friends’ comes making friends with them again.

Mr Handyman

Published by Angeleyes under Juz Darrius, Funnies

This is another very back dated post.

A few weeks back I finally open another of Darrius’s birthday pressie which was given by Jazzmint. I did not open that box earlier because it contains small parts (bolt and nut).

Lately that lil’ monster has been a handful so I decided to distract him with new toy in order to keep him occupied. Hence I let him play with the handyman tools set. He was extremely excited when I showed it to him and kept insisting me to open the box. After snapping a few photos I open the box for him.

He can’t wait to put on the helmet but too bad it was so lose it kept falling off! I thought he has a big head but looks like there are kids with bigger heads!

So happened our TV broke down and is unrepairable and PiggyBeng decided to moved it away so we could put another TV there. Then we left the old TV at the back of the living room. The little kay-poh-chi saw the TV and remembered how his daddy was fixing it earlier and decided to imitate him! He took the screw driver and started to unscrew the screw at the back of the TV! Now I have another future handyman at home! :)
