Learning about cerebral palsy

A friend of mine has a son who is cortically blind and mute as he has suffered low oxygen during birth. I was not too sure about his condition but according to her he has one of the cerebral palsy syndromes. Cerebral palsy syndromes are grouped into four main categories: spastic, athetoid, ataxic, and mixed forms.

Before this I do not really have much knowledge on cerebral palsy but I made some efforts reading up after learning about my friend’s child’s condition. I guess it will be a good information for me since I am thinking of having another baby. At least now I can check what are the cerebral palsy symptoms so I can have better preparations.
