Catch PENELOPE this season

I have to admit I’m a sucker for fairy tales be it cartoon or acted by real people. One of my all time favorite is Cinderella. And if you’d noticed, I even named myself after one of the fairy tales cartoon character! I used to be a dreamer so the name Alice of ‘Alice in the Wonderland’ hit me and since I enjoyed the show so much I decided to pick that name up.

I have always like fairy tales as they always have happy endings. Especially those about princesses. Don’t all girls like them? And very soon another fairy tale movie blockbuster will come through your cinema’s screen soon. PENELOPE will hit all cinemas on the 29th of February 2008.

PENELOPE is about a young girl’s inspiring journey, a mysterious family secret and the power of love. With all odds against her, in order for Penelope to break the family curse, she must find true love with “one of her own kind.” The warm and funny adventure leads her to realize the most important life lesson, “I like myself the way I am.” Penelope Wilhern, born to wealthy socialites is afflicted by the Wilhern spell that can only be broken when she finds love. Hidden away in her family’s estate, the lonely girl meets a string of suitors in her parent’s futile attempt to break the curse. Each eligible bachelor is enamored with Penelope and her sizable dowry … until her curse is revealed.

When I read about the storyline and the casts, I was instantly in love with the movie and I kept telling myself that I must watch it! The main cast is Christina Ricci of The Addams Family and the supporting actress is Reese Whiterspoon of Legally Blonde the quirky law student in Harvard. I’m a fan of Reese Whiterspoon! And no doubt this will be another movie with a touch of humor since Reese is there!

Anyway, I don’t want to tell too much about the movie here as it will spoil the show later. It is best you go catch it when it is opens for viewing! But if you are curious, you can get some synopsis here.
