Why I’ve been so quiet…
I have not been blog hopping for many days and was hardly online too. Recently the network/server seems to be ultra slow and I can’t access to many pages. Not sure what is happening but according to PiggyBeng, all the uncles and aunties are jamming up the network as they want to view their share prices…. The stock market was badly hit with all the negative points!
So, I am taking the opportunity to do some stuff…
First I made these for Darrius…

But these Lychee Konyaku jello is to QQ for him and he gets all frustrated eating them! He don’t know how to cut the jello so he ended up drinking all the syrup and eating the lychees only! I helped him to cut but he got so mad that he refused to eat after that!
Then on another 2 days, I spent most of my time doing these….

Yum-yum almond cookies! Yeah, this is my first try at baking these yummy cookies. I followed the recipes found in the recipes book I bought two months back. It’s pretty easy to do but takes a long time to roll them into exact size! lol
And since I saw so many mamas are busy baking the ‘femes’ pineapple tarts, I decided to join in the fun too! So, these are my end products….

Phew~ I just wanna say that baking these sweet treats are no easy feat! I spent so much time standing rolling the dough! With the scorching hot sun burning my roof… I was like an oven the past few days I spent baking!
Sometime it amazed me that some people can bake in such hot weather for weeks from morning to night to meet their orders! I read the papers reently that there is this family receiving orders of over 800 Milo tins of ‘kuih kapit’ or love letters!!! That is a lot of love letters! Anyway, I don’t really fancy them… I still have 2 Milo tins here given by m FIL…

Like sis I too don’t like kuih kapik but love pineapple tarts. Are kuih kapik really known as love letters? I thought love letters are those long cylinder shaped with chocolate or strawberry flavour stripes.
