Why risk it now?

Guess the biggest news to hit this ‘auspicious’ year of 2008 is the emerging of the ‘fatal’ S*x DVD on one of the most prominent politic figure in Malaysia now, Datuk Seri Dr. Chua Soi Lek the Minister of Health. To be a ‘responsible’ leader, Datuk Seri Dr. Chua has resigned from all his posts voluntarily. I know he must have regretted what he has done but don’t he know by being a politician in this ‘Bolehland’ one must maintain a ‘clean’ image? Why risk it if he wants to be on the ‘top’? I just cannot comprehend why being in such a level, at this time, holding those posts, he wants to risk it? Stewpig or what?

Datuk Seri Dr. Chua is indeed a very courageous person to come forward to admit his wrong doing which I doubt many of our politicians have such guts but that does not mean he a hero. It really surprises me why a Health Minister want to have extra marital affairs when what normally health ministers will promote are none other than ’safe practices’. So, does that mean, most (all our ministers or politicians) don’t do what the preached?

I wonder how is he going to live with this shame? How is he going to face his wife and his children? I mean, how can you see each other face to face if you found out your spouse has been cheating on you? Imagine the whole world knows and everyone has their eyes on you… geez… I really pity his wife and his kids to have to suffer all the shame.

Well, after all we are still Asians so we are not as forgiving as the Westerners. I don’t know if the Americans forgave Bill Clinton but he seemed to have got on well… Hope Dr. Chua learned his lesson well…

p.s: next time wanna ‘tao-ching’ go overseas lar… why so gong do it in hometown?
