Let’s go fishing!
Thanks to pretty twins’ mommy, our family can get to enjoy some fishing fun at home. Initially when we opened the present, we thought Darrius could be too young to play it as he still has this bad habits of dismantling everything he gets his hands on. So we will normally keep them away until we feel he deem fit to play them. Just a week ago, we gave him the plane toy his gu-gu (PiggyBeng’s cousin) gave him for his first birthday and within a day one of the wings was broken and some small parts was taken out by our little mechanic!
His recent crankiness (the terrible 2 phase) is really getting hard to handle, so I decided to bring out some of the new toys which he got for his birthday to entertain him and keep him busy – at least for a while. And you know, for kids his age, it is tough to really keep him interested in anything for an extended period. I felt blessed if he can stay there for more than 15 minutes!
This fishing game is really a game to test a person’s patience. Even both PiggyBeng and myself got all giddy up after staring at those rotating fishes open-close their mouths waiting to be ‘bait’ by our hooks! I can tell you, it is not as simple as it look! So, what will a 2 years old boy do?

In the morning – Playing properly as instructed

When we first presented him the toy and demonstrated to him on how to play, he was getting really anxious and can’t wait to get started. In the beginning he was curious about the fishes and kept taking them out but after repeatedly telling him and showing him how to play he finally got the hang of it and was playing like a pro for a while. He got tired after sometime so I kept it and brought it out in the evening again…

In the evening – Express! Just use fingers lar!

Hahahaa! As you can see, patience is definitely running out for our Lil’ fella!

haha… so this is the fishing activity at home… darrius is so clever no need fishing rod an fish directly with fingers…. and much faster too… hahaha
mali auntie cook the fish and we eat ok
