Introducing Baby PeiQi
The previous weekend I brought Darrius to visit PiggyBeng’s cousin who has just given birth to a baby girl at one of the confinement home. Coincidentally little PeiQi was born on the same day as Darrius. That means there are a total of 3 birthday boys and girl sharing the same birth date in the family now.

According to little PeiQi’s mother, the confinement home (Ai Xin Confinement Home located in Batu Maung) has good service and she is well taken care there. She even complimented on the food served. The place is actually a converted corner unit double storeys house at one of the housing estate. The environment is quite peaceful as it is at the far end of the lot and the land next to it is still undevelop.
In fact the home is fully occupied when we were there with all the rooms having at least two occupants. There is even Astro channels and wireless Internet connection in the living room on the upper floor which are meant for visiting guests especially the husbands.
Previously I have quite a bad impression of such confinement homes as I’ve heard of bad experiences from some relatives. However after visiting and witnessing this one, finall I have some faith in them. Will I use them one day? Probably, if I don’t have other better options!

Looks good huh? I’ve been curious about these places and thought of staying in one for Lucas. Seeing Montessorimum’s comment above, guess even for 2nd one also I may not have the chance!

missed the smell and touch of a newborn… you just dont get to see many newborns until its your relative’s own.
Me, I have conflicting opinion. I dont think i will ever stay in one of those confinement homes. Nothing like the comfort of your own home, be it noisy or packed. Pei Ling in SS2 has confinement ladies coming to your house as well as a confinement home. I got one from Pei Ling to come over. she is so good we extended her to 2 months. That particular aunties was said to be one of their “top” confinement ladies.
We are also in the midst of hunting for a confinement centre and was wondering where Ai Xin is located. Would you happen to have their contact # or directions to that place?
