Will I spare it?

This is a very interesting meme which I got from this mommy.

Will I spare the rod? Well… I’m very frank and it is a big NO.

Before I became a mommy, I did discuss this with PiggyBeng and we some how came to a conclusion that if our kid(s) misbehave, we will first deal with a verbal warning. Then if they misbehaving continues, we will use the cane to threaten and if they still refused to heed, then they will be caned.

Like the Chinese saying goes ‘ma, shi teng; ta, shi ai’ which literally translate to ‘to scold is love; to beat is love’. ‘teng’ and ‘ai’ is quite the same in English but in the Chinese meaning, ‘ai’ is a much deeper kind of love.

I guess it depends how each parent discipline their kids. What is most important is how we get the message across to them. It is all depending on the situation.
