2007
So fast we are at the end of 2007. It seems this year passed by us in a flash… really! It has been 365 days but it seems I did not do much except blogging! Geez… where’s my life ah?
Well, I have spent a good half of 2007 setting up this blog… if that is one ‘achievement’, then it is the only I have thus far. Managed to make a few quick bucks from it and hopefully the moolah will be able to maintain this site for some years… if I can still blog on… Of course not forgetting all the lovely friends I’ve made along the way. Want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your friendship and support.
I don’t know if I should rate this year as a good year but it ended with a not so happy note. It has been hell for us the past few days with Darrius having the worst case of food poisoning. I just hope his condition will improve over the next few days.
Just hope the year 2008 will be a better one for us…
For now, I would like to wish all of you my loyal readers, visitors, commenters, lurkers, family and friends…
.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2008!
..
.
May you start the year 2008 with a BIG BANG!

Thank you all for your well wishes and concerns. After battling the worst case of food poisoning (was diagnosed by our regular paed), Darrius is finally on the road of recovery after 3 wet and slimy days. This diarrhea session is one of the worst in his entire life. He was plagued by a super long session (approx. 2 weeks) last year when we were in Las Vegas but he did not feel as bad as this time where he was so lifeless the past two days (but still able to scream on top of his lungs when he can’t get things his way).
I’ve stopped him from taking any diary products since Friday. I actually bought him some soya milk to replace the milk but he did not get any better so I stopped that too. He complaint about his stomach is painful for a good two days! This has never happen before. Was lucky he still have appetite so we feed him whatever we could.
These few days I was super drained up, physically and mentally. At one point I almost gone berserk when Darrius refused to take his medicine. This also due to the fact that PiggyBeng was nonchalant about the whole episode which started my fire. Then coupled with Darrius’s continuous crying and whining made the whole thing worst.
Our entire weekend was gone. We stayed at home most of the time since Darrius cannot contained his urge to go to the potty every 30 mins or so at certain times. Sometimes after I cleaned him he asked to be put back on the potty…. The poor fellow must be feeling his butts will drop off soon!
Anyway, was glad that he is fine now though he still have the frequent urge to sit on the potty but nothing came out…

Yesterday my dad broke a tragic news to me. It was about my ex-high school teacher’s hubby whom happened to be my dad’s ex-colleague, has passed away due to the heavy radiation which he received years back to kill off his cancerous cells. He was only 52 years of age.
I did not managed to ask my dad in details about the family. According to dad, his 2 daughters are still in the university. They own a huge bungalow house but not sure if it already been fully paid for. I wonder if he purchased any mortgage life insurance so at least his wife and daughters are assured of a place to stay.

The Lil’ Kay-poh-chi is still having fever on and off even after we administered the suppository a few times. He was complaining of stomach pain in the middle of the night and around 2+am he actually ‘lau-saied‘ in his sleep! I have to wake him up to get him to change his soiled diaper. He was reluctant to wake up but I know he won’t feel comfortable if those poo-poo stick on his butts!
Around 7am he woke me up and told me he needs to do #2 so I brought him down to the potty but was a little late as he already poo-ed in his diaper. So after washing up, I fed him his milk and gave him some diarrhea medicine. Then he insisted he wants to go back to the room to sleep.
Hopefully the fever will subside soon as he refused to take in any oral medication. He threw all out last night and it was totally futile to get him to swallow even just a tiny bit. *sigh*
Today is Friday and guess with Darrius’s condition now we won’t be going any where today…

Since a few weeks back I was seriously thinking to revamp some of my sites. I went to search for many themes as well as other resources such as sites that offer Web Design. I was seriously contemplating to pay for the service, for premium designs though I know I can get some for free if I look hard enough but time is not on my site since Darrius fell sick and it has added on to my stress level.
As I wanted to do everything before the new year starts, guess that also added the pressure for me to hunt for a good web designer who will charge moderately since most of my sites are not 100% business oriented. Therefore, I have to think hard and prioritize my needs.
While on my regular search, I stumbled upon Network Solution’s Web Page Design service. My previously company enlisted their services before but only for hosting their web site. And it was completely new to me to find out they are also offering web page designing for their hosting clients. This is really good especially for first timers as I could still remember those endless days and nights slogging in the office trying to DIY the web designing myself.
If you are thinking of revamping your sites or maybe getting a new site for business, do hope over to Network Solution’s site for complete web design package.

That was how high Darrius’s temperature since 4am this morning.
It started out of the blue last night around 8pm. He still looked normal though he was spotted with a warm temperature so I gave him some paracetamol in the hope it will help bring down the fever. At around 11pm his temperature increased again. So I quickly took his temperature again and he was at 38.5C. I tried to sponge him with a cold towel but he was screaming so loud. Fed him another dose of paracetamol.
He started tossing around 4am with a soft whining sound so I feel his forehead and was shocked that his temperature seemed to have increased further. So I asked him if he want to drink some water and he refused. So I just let him sleep on…
Then at around 7+am he cried so I check his temperature again and was shocked that he is still as warm. So check again with the thermometer and he was at 39.2C. Tried calling PiggyBeng but can’t reach him as he was in a training today. And worst, he is using my car today…. what a bummer!
I gave Darrius some water and patted him to sleep again. When he was asleep, I went to make some milk and brought another round of paracetamol for him. He work up not long after so I fed him his milk but he refused the paracetamol. He told me his ’stomach’ pain-pain. Then I asked where else pain-pain he replied ‘inside the shirt’. I really hope he can tell me where… *sigh* He was totally down… so unlike his active self.
I changed him and brought him to the child specialist opposite our house since I don’t have my car I can’t go to his regular paed at the hospital. Paed said he has viral infection and diarrhea. He gave him a dose of Voltren since his fever is still at 39.2 during the consultation and a whole lot of other medication to be administered at home. Really hate doing this as Darrius simply hates taking medicine!
Now at almost 6pm, his body is still so warm… Just wish it will subside soon…. my poor baby… *sob* *sob*

If you did not see me sending greetings to your sites, please forgive me as I was being thrown out from the cyberspace the entire day! What a way to celebrate Christmas when I can’t even to do the thing I love to do most… blog!
Not sure what is happening… I wonder if other Penangites are having the same problem as I had? Anyway, glad that it moving fine now and hope it won’t go back to those endless crawling but can’t load a single page!
Just hope everyone has a blessed and joyful Christmas this year!
