Tonight things are better

This is the continuation of the ‘Sleeping without mommy’ series where every night we have to go through the battle field in order to tuck Darrius in. We just could not understand why he refused to go to bed, be it for afternoon naps or sleep at night.

He used to take his nap around 1.30pm and could easily sleep for 1.5-3 hours but recently his sleeping patterns took a huge turn. He will not sleep until around 3 or 3.30pm and can only sleep for 1-1.5 hours the max. Therefore, it leave this mommy jumping for not getting a lot of blogging work done!

Tonight we have to bribe the Lil’ Fella to go upstairs with his daddy. He was fussing when PiggyBeng want to carry him while I was done changing him into his pajama. He told his daddy to go away and kept saying ‘mommy carry go upstairs’. This means he is willing to go upstairs but must be with me. And the whole exercise is to want him to be more independent and not letting him be too sticky to me at night.

In order to get him to go with his daddy, I lied to him (yeah… bad mommy) that he can play with my ‘money’ (my inspirational cards) but I warn PiggyBeng not to let the Lil’ Fella touch them. I did heard some screams and cries for a while but it was quiet since 11pm…

i think kids are very unpredictable even on a day to day basis. Bryan has dropped one nap during the weekends when I’m around so he goes on from 12pm to 8pm!!! Don’t sweat it lah……when they are tired, they WILL sleep……..
