Most people has only ONE Birthday but for Darrius, he has THREE this year! That was because we celebrated early for him. Then on the actual day, again my dad bought him a cake to blow the candles.
.

.
On the day we came back to Penang, we visited my father in law and he told me the next day is Darrius’s Lunar birth date (29 Nov) which is the 20th day of the 10th month on the Lunar calendar. Again this crazy mommy baked some more cupcakes for the occasion lar! Before that, I also made some red eggs which is part of the Chinese’s tradition, where the birthday boy should eat some.
.

.
Darrius was oblivious about the whole thing but he enjoyed it nevertheless by chomping down the hard boiled egg that I prepared for him. Then in the afternoon I gave him a little treat - soaking in the tub playing his masak-masak!
(sollie, the photos are censored)

.
After dinner we had the candle blowing session again! Hahahaa… yeah, I think the Lil’ fella thoroughly enjoyed his ‘Birthdays’. We sang him the birthday song and let him blow the candles but his breath is not strong enough (coz he was busy laughing) so mommy has to help out!

The first few things we taught Darrius about the skies are looking for the moon, stars and planets. Now the Lil’ fella is extremely keen when he sees the moon or the stars. Amazingly, he can differentiates between a star and the lights from the aeroplanes!
We are happy that our son is keen with anything that related to science. In fact I am getting very excited when I can actually talk to him more about the universe when the time comes. I have been telling him about comets and meteors and it will be great if I can actually show those to him one day.
Not sure when will be the next eclipse. Probably that will be the perfect time to teach the Lil’ fella more about the earth, moon and sun. I guess before that, I must get a pair of good sunglasses so protect our eyes while we watch this phenomenon.

This is an ultra back dated post…
On the week we were supposed to leave for KL, KittyCat, mama to Little Lucas called for a Penang Mama meet. The meet has to be held on a weekday (as KittyCat and Lucas are due to leave for Xian, China on 17 Nov) so there were no other mamas able to make it except for the two of us. Initially the meet was scheduled to be on Wednesday but because Miss Kitty thought it was on a Thursday, she left Darrius and myself waiting for her!
After we waited for more than an hour and calling repeatedly but no one answer the phone, we guessed that they were not going to turned up so I brought Darrius to e-Gate for lunch instead which I will blog about later. Only after we reached home and told PiggyBeng about the incident did I called Miss Kitty again only to discovered she got the day wrong! Aiyoh, this mommy so ‘tai-tau-har’ to even forgot the day she picked for the meet!
So, we decided to meet the next day, same time and venue. It was quite cartoon as after we arrived in Tesco, Miss Kitty called that her little prince want to nap longer so she said they will be late. So I brought Darrius go groceries shopping first while waiting.
Finally, after lots of SMSes flying about, Miss Kitty and Little Lucas finally arrived!
This is our 3rd time meeting since our kids came to this world. I first met Miss Kitty during our pre-natal class in Adventist Hospital in 2005. Wow! Time flies!

Lucas and Darrius having a great pasta lunch
.
We had our lunch at Pizza Hut in Tesco. Luckily the lunch crowd has subsided so we are able to get a seat and settled down. We made our orders and let the kids get acquinted. I guessed both Darrius and Lucas were having a great time while sharing a plate of pasta.
.

Are you ok with the pasta buddy?
.
After creating a huge mess in Pizza Hut we finally said our goodbyes…. Not sure when we will have the chance to meet again… Hope Miss Kitty and Little Lucas is adapting well with their new life in Xian.

Are any of you getting a plasma TV soon? Where are you going to place it? On your existing TV stand, table or are you getting a plasma lifts? Well, since you’ve spent so much, don’t you think your plasma TV deserved to have a good base?
Like my uncle, he actually had his plasma mounted onto the wall and specifically built a wall cabinet to fit his plasma. However, that cost a bomb! If you do not intend to go to that extend, then having a plasma lift is good enough… at least it won’t hurt your pocket!

Yesterday morning I was chatting with my mother in law when she came back from her morning tai-chi session. She was telling me she had put on so much weight after staying in Germany for 3 months. She was grumbling about the lack of green vege intake as the stores near my sister in law’s place do not sell much green vege.
So I asked m mother in law if she is keen to take diet pills to lose some of her weight? She told me she want to try losing it the natural way before she goes to the pills. Well, guess she is trying really hard to shed those extra weight off!

This is a backdated post….
I’ve have been wanting to post this up when I was in KL but just couldn’t find the time to do it. It was such a good timing that we were back in KL two weeks ago so we could get to see Baby Adrian, my brother and his wife’s first child born on the 16 November 2007.
.

Taken on 19 November 2007
.
Baby Adrian is a big baby, weighing 4.3kg on the day he came to this world. So big that his mommy had a hard time during labor that she has to go through C-sec to deliver him. Luckily there were no other complications.
.

Taken on 25 November 2007
.
He is such a good baby that he hardly cry and can sleep through most nights after the CL (confinement lady) left just after 5 days. It was a real bummer to be left by the CL and I really pity my brother and my SIL but luckily m SIL’s mom and my mom are around to help out. My poor brother looked so stressed out after the incident!
.

Me and Baby Adrian
.
So glad that everything turned out fine now and Baby Adrian is eating and coping well and do not have any Jaundice or other newborn sickness. He is such a lovely baby… and he is loved by everyone… though Darrius kor-kor was quite jealous when his mommy and poh-poh were carrying him!

I’ve heard of many bloggers who decided to get their own domains and get them hosted but most of the times they made lots of noises after they signed up. Most of the complains are about bad after sales service, long down time, not able to contact a technical staff and much much more. Even for myself I have had bad experiences too. There was one of the host I signed up with took forever to reply to my requests and I felt they lack in depth knowledge about many of the technical stuff which I have problems with myself. It is like ‘blind leading the blind’ kind of situation.
Sometimes it can be so stressful and frustrated having to ding-dong with emails or tickets but not getting anything done. This is so especially when we are in an urgent period such as nearing date line or cutting off dates by advertisers or if we have a shopping cart, sales or payments can’t get through. At those moments, how you wish you did not sign up with those lousy hosts!
If you are looking for more reliable host(s), you can now check out HostingReviewsbyUsers where it helps prospective users like you and me to research prospective web host(s) and make sure we are not going to be ripped off. Our mini vacation in KL ended yesterday when we drove more than 5 hours home. We packed up early and had a simple breakfast near my parents’ place and started our journey shortly after 10am. PiggyBeng went to refill our car and we finally hit the North South Highway at almost 11am.
The drive was pretty smooth and Darrius soon fell asleep. Then when before we reach Tapah, suddenly our a/c turned warm. It was a HOT-HOT day yesterday without a single drop of rain… so you can imagine. Our car’s a/c malfunction just right there and then! YEAP!!!! We traveled without a/c on a SUPER HOT day! Aaaaarrrggghhhh!!!! Darrius woke up after feeling the sudden heat.
When were reached Simpang Pulai (first exit near Ipoh town), PiggyBeng exit and decided to look for a car a/c repair shop. We found one and the guy checked for us. Initially we thought the a/c’s gas has evaporated but NO! The guy told us something is wrong with the compressor!!! That would take at least half a day to repair!
Our initial plan to have Ipoh Coffee has to be abandoned as it was such a hot day. If we park our car to eat then it will be even hotter so I told PiggyBeng we will just drive straight back to Penang. It was the most torturous 3 hours drive we ever had!
We arrived Penang around 3+ and the weather was equally hot on the island… if not worst. It was damn freaking HOT and I can feel my entire body burning from the drive…
I was so tired from the entire trip and still have to wash the linen and clean the room as well as unpacked everything before hitting the sack. Darrius was crying again when I asked PiggyBeng to tuck him in so I have to tuck him in in the end.
There are lots of stuff to be updated here as we had quite a lot of activities over the past few days in KL…. so stay tuned!

The previous week, I followed PiggyBeng to the workers provident funds office to do some updating of personal information. Since I am not working, I hardly give much attention to what we can do with the money we have in there.
As the queue was pretty long (we waited almost an hour) so we walked around and started reading whatever information they have, either booklet, leaflets and even notices that they stuck on the wall. We did not know we can actually apply home improvement loans from them! This was indeed a very useful piece of information.
Too bad they are not offering any car loans or personal loans, if not I am sure there will be heaps of people applying for that rather than go through loan sharks! I can’t remember if they are charging any interest rates for taking the loans.
Well, if we really need to do renovation to our house, then we might want to consider taking the loans as it is definitely better than getting that through banks as we will sure to pay higher interest rates.

Recently Darrius loves to play with our shoes. He will try to wear them (especially my house slippers) and walk with them whenever we are not paying much attention to him. He will go ‘flip-flop’ around, falling a few times while trying to walk with the shoes. Most of the time I did not get to snap a photo but managed to snap a few (quite blur ones) during our hotel stay…
.

I’m BIG fOOt!
.
He looked so cute and funny in those over size shoes that belongs to daddy….
