Learning to sleep without mommy – Part 2
On the 4th night (Tuesday) PiggyBeng brought Darrius up to the room pretty early as PiggyBeng was tired and wanted to sleep early. I was surprised Darrius was happy when his daddy carried him up. He even said good night and waved at me. I thought everything is going fine so I continued with my blogging work downstairs.
While I was busy working on MSN, some 5 minutes later, I heard Darrius started to cry and scream. It was getting louder as if he wanted to tear the house down! So I was telling her that Darrius refused to sleep and it’s quite sad and heart breaking to hear him cry like that but I don’t have a choice.
So after almost 50 minutes (at least), the house suddenly turned very quiet. Darrius must have finally dozed off. Then I think to myself, geez…. after so many nights he still can’t get used to the new arrangment… I kept asking myself if this is the right way to do it?
Then the following night, same thing, he bid me good night and even smiled when PiggyBeng brought him up to the room. I did heard him cry and scream for a short while but after less than 10 minutes it turned very quiet… Hmmmm…. looks good! Probably Darrius was extremely tired that day and that’s why he knocked out so fast.
I have wanted to continue this little exercise longer, unfortunately PiggyBeng has to do a conference call tonight, so I have to tuck Darrius in. While I was patting him, he asked for his daddy so I told him daddy has to work. Then half way through PiggyBeng came into the room so I asked him to pat Darrius but the Lil’ fella refused to have his daddy to pat him! *slap forehead*
Looks like we still have a long way to go and with PiggyBeng going away for another 10 days beginning from this Sat, we might have to start all over again when he returns…. *sigh*
