Watched who is charging you…
Finally I have some time to do some blog hopping tonite. I was at Simple America’s site and saw his post on ‘I Was Robbed’ and read on. He was being charged for some purchases which he has no idea about. Since he has never purchase anything from the stores where the purchases were made, his suspicious were, either his card was being swiped illegally by the restaurants he went to or the online book stores’ sites were being hacked where he purchased some books for his daughter.
Though I may not have experienced any online fraud myself but I am very vary about my credit cards spending movements. I have both Visa and Master with me and I tried using just one card. What I like about my bank is, they have this security measure where the common cards can’t be used for online purchase. I have to specially apply for a ‘Virtual Master Card’ for all my online shopping or payment purposes.
One of the Virtual card’s feature is, card holders can choose the credit limit of either RM500, RM1,000 or RM2,000. This is really good if someone managed to phis the card info and then used it to make purchases. Since it is a Virtual card, we can streamlined it as online fraud and the low credit can minimise the lost.
Maybe it’s about time we pay more attention on this matter since many of us are PayPal account holders and we have to input our credit card info on the site. Also to all the online shopping Queens, please make sure you are not being charged for something you did not buy!

To get additional information about student credit cards, the net can be a good resource. When looking for business credit cards or even airline credit cards, the internet can give you many varying opinions.

I think that is good how you have it set up. I am now waiting to get a paypal credit card. Try to limit internet purchases to this card only.
I got hit by credit card fraud twice within the week. The bank issued a new card in replacement but I was not required to pay the charged amount. It was an online transaction so make sure you be extra careful when using your card online. It did not stop me though
Ooooh….. I just apply for the virtual credit card yesterday, I think this is better than using the real credit card especially online. Still have to make a step trying out & evaluate whether the virtual card is truely a better solution. What say you??

ya, that’s why I try to buy stuff from only reputable sites only. Dun go to any zhapbalang sites. I also use a cc with very low limit just for online shopping. Thanks for the reminder. Sometimes I forget to check : )
