Tai-Thong’s Set Meal… @ Mid Valley

It was a last minute decision that both Darrius and myself followed my parents back to KL on Wednesday. We have wanted my parents to stay on longer but on Wednesday evening, they have a prior appointment with my brother and his wife’s family who flew in all the way from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

We arrived KL around 4.30pm after a long drive from Penang since 10.30am. We stopped by Ipoh to grab a quick lunch and continued our journey. There were road works along the North South Highway, which caused us to spend more time on the road.

That evening our dinner was at Tai-Thong’s Spring Valley@ Mid Valley which is located on the Food Avenue at the outside of the mall… on the ground floor, same roll as San Francisco Steak House. All along I did not know there is a Tai Thong restaurant at Mid Valley until that evening.

That night, it was my brother who treated us. We ordered their Value Set Meal for 10 pax and added 2 more dishes on top of the set. The set came with FREE soup, rice and dessert. Quite a good deal! There were a total of 6 dishes which diners can choose from the different categories available. It was the same type of set meal we took during my parents’ wedding anniversary dinner at a different location.

As it was a weekday, there were only a few diners occupying a few tables. Guess many patrons of the mall are not aware of the restaurant’s existance…
 

The verdict…. value for money as they came in pretty huge servings. I only manged to snap some main dishes as the soup and desserts were served in individual bowls.  They are very child friendly too which I will do in a separate post later. The restaurant is very spacious, has a private room and quite clean. I think they cater to wedding banquets too.
