Another Happening Weekend
Like usual we always have a lot of activities during our ’extended’ weekend. This week is no exception. On Saturday we jammed ourselves at the yearly PC Fair at PISA which was from 3-5 August. Before going, we went to have an early lunch at a nearby coffeeshop around Bukit Jambul before jamming the fair. Had this pan-mee which is quite nice but a little costly as the portion is quite small.
We arrived around 12+ and the place was already packed with people. We were lucky to find a parking space outside the stadium compound. The exhibition was divided into 2 floors. The upper floor (in circular) was where all the PC assesories are and the lower floor is where all the PC and laptops are.
PiggyBeng wanted to get some thumb drives as well as a MP3 player for my car and he ended up getting a FM modulator instead. Well, I can’t complain since I don’t have to pay for it!
We spent about 1.5 hours before we left… the place was so packed that it’s quite tough to push through with Darrius’s stoller.
Then in the evening we went for Japanese & Seafood Buffet dinner at Cititel Penang. For RM50 nett a person, this is one of the better Japanese buffet we ever had in Penang. We have wanted to go to Kampachi initially but I discovered about Cititel offer so we decided to give it a try. The dinner was actually to celebrate our Wedding Registration Anniversary which we had posponed earlier.
The food was great! There were so much stuff that we did not get to try all of them as our stomach just could not fill anymore! I love their food selection as it’s a combination of a few cuisine. There’s a Japanese’s corner with all the sashimi, rolls, sushi, ramen and tempura. One of my favourite is the Shimano fish (pregnant fish) which was really yummy! PiggyBeng had so many servings of their BBQ Tiger prawns as well as the jellyfish salad. And Darrius was enjoying himself with his own plate, fork and spoon as he can feed himself. The only bummer is, he purged when we were about to finish! The Lil’ fella wanted to do big biz ah!
This morning, after my Sunda market session, we went for the Silver Jubilee Old Folk Homes’s fun-fair. MIL passed us some coupons so we decided to check out the fair (forgot to bring camera so no pics). It started at 10.30am but when we arrived around 10.45am the whole place was so congested already! We were lucky again to have found a shaded carpark outside the home’s compound. There were hundred of people crowding around all the food stalls set up at the home’s hall. We just get whatever we can and left the place as it was scorching hot!
We went home and slowly savour the food we exchanged with the coupons. It was a wise choice as I an’t imagine how we can eat at the fair with so many people around and so hot too! After our makan session, we went to Tesco to get our weekly groceries supplies.
Before the end of the day, we brought Darrius to the little playground at the KFC outlet opposite Dorsett Hotel to let him have some fun…

My AhBeng loves to set up PCs and he did that for my dad,
my SIL and my FIL….
I’ve heard about Cititel’s Japanese buffet too. Must try it someday.
Oh, and I just tagged you.
Yeah, you must try… very baby friendly too so highly recommended!
It is so much more spacious as compared to Kampachi and Tao.
RM50nett per pax for a Jap buffet dinner is very cheap. The cheapest we can get here for Jap buffet in a hotel is around RM60 and above.
I love pregnant fish too, esp the roe
yeap… though it’s not 100% Japanese fair but they have almost all the basic stuff… don’t expect to have different types of fish for the sashimi (only salmon & tuna) but I like the tempura section… better than Kampachi.
