Bae Yong Joon VS Darrius
A delayed post…
I’m a huge fan of Korean heart-breaker Bae Yong Joon if you do not know so when I knew April Snow will be showing over Channel 8 last Saturday, I was estatic. So much so, I actually circled on the calendar!

You must be wondering why I don’t get the DVD right? Well, I read some reviews saying that the show was not as good as it was expected, so stingy me did not want to get it lor! bleh~ I have no qualms of getting his other drama titles especially Hotellier and Winter Sonata… I even made PiggyBeng watch them! 
Back to the real story… It has been yonks since I was able to catch any shows on the TV uninterupted these days with Darrius around. He loves to stand in front of the TV and watch at close range which is bad for his eyes. Then he loves to press the ON/OFF button when he walk past the TV (this is when he is in the living room). He will demand to have the remote control and will start to press all the buttons there and caused me to miss some of the conversations in the show I’m watching.
So, before last Saturday, I made a request to PiggyBeng and asked him to care for Darrius so I can watch my show in peace, down in the living room – alone. As the show was scheduled at 9.30pm, which is also Darrius’s time to go upstairs to prepare for his bed time, it would be perfect for PiggyBeng to tuck his son in…. alone. Though we have a TV set in the room, it would be too distracting with Darrius wanting to touch the screen and etc…
Before the show, we went shopping so after reaching home around 9pm, I quickly feed Darrius his supper and changed him. I still missed the first 10 minutes of the show as he was a little cranky when I changed him. I was so happy to finally settled down and even brought out all my snacks to munch!
I heard foot thumping upstairs, so I guessed that Darrius is till busy playing with his daddy and think nothing of it until just before 10.10pm, I heard footsteps on the staircase… Out came PiggyBeng and Darrius! duh~
Me: Eh??? Still awake????
PiggyBeng: He said he wants mommy wor… (putting Darrius down)
Darrius: Maa-mii! (with a cheeky grin and walked over to me)
Me: Aiks! How come you not sleeping boi?
Darrius: (starts to pull my snack’s container)
Me: Aiyah! Why like that lar??? Mommy can’t even have some peace watching the show…. (then turned toward PiggyBeng) You told me ‘No-Problem’ just now??? How come this fella still awake one???
PiggyBeng: I switched off the light he screamed lioa so how? Then he cried for you… so boh pian lor… I bring him down lor..
Me: tsk…tsk…tsk…
(They sat with me for a while and PiggyBeng brought Darrius up again after 10 minutes or so and I continue with my show)
20 minutes later… they were down again! Aaarrggghh!!! This time PiggyBeng was mad lioa… and Darrius was all teary eyes…. *haiyah*
No choice lor…. switched off the TV and go upstairs lor! True enough, Darrius started to go near the screen and putting his hands on and wipe around the TV screen even when I screamed ‘NO’ at him (I have not been watching TV for the longest time in my room since I knew all these will take place). Then he insist he wants to hold the remote control so ended up PiggBeng has to remove the batteries.
The show was a little mundane so I guess I don’t really missed much but then again… it cut short the time I have staring at BYJ’s handsome face mah!!!! 
But then again … how can I refused this cheeky face fella leh???

Also, my hubby happened to see your blog, and he said Darrius is VERY CUTE, and has this very mischievious / cheeky look!
Won Bin too young lah! Only watch one of his show so can’t really say if he’s good looking or not but I go for BYJ’s charisma…

House? eeerrrr… never heard of this show also….
no korean drama for me. once a week, i watch house (tue), lost (wed) and sometimes grey’s anatomy (thurs). last time i watch like every day inclusing american idols and dancing with the stars. now only can choose a few to watch. sometimes (very seldom), brandon will be sleeping, but most of the time, i have to watch the show on and off while taking care of him at the same time. i prefer giving full attention to the tv but cannot since have to take care of brandon (multi-task loh, brandon sometimes wants me to read to him while i watching tv) so daddy can online.
I have totally cut out TV shows during Darrius’s waking hours unless I made him watch with me (while feeding him). Sometimes PB will be kind enough to keep Darrius occupied by bringing him out to the swing so I can have some rest while catch up on some Hokkien dramas (very popular now).
how about buy the pir@ted one…hahaha..me so bad la..

Hahhaa…what to do…maamiii’s boy mahh. Record the show lahhh….then you can watch when Darrius is asleep.

I’ve got many things to write I wonder if I should blog it instead…heheh…
I, like my sis also don’t watch Korean drama (the only one we watched was the ‘Dai Cheong Gam’ because it was so ‘popular’), but I do watch dvds, Cantonese TVB drama (downloaded) and tv series (which I keep forgetting to watch because we just got satellite tv). It was hard for me to watch also because of Ethan. I used to breastfeed him in my room because my brother was around. House too small to own another tv in room. When I became an expert I did it outside, no problem. No problem to watch the Cantonese drama since it’s downloaded, we watch with the pc in the room, after he fall asleep. So now like Darrius, Ethan has started to meddle with the switches (not the tv because too high for him) to the dvd player and the satellite tv (just now he started to on/off the monitor for the pc in the room as well!). We don’t let him play with the remote after what he did to one of them. The only advantage now is he sleeps early so I get to watch the tv series, if I remember.
With daddys, aren’t they all like that? They only try for a while and if they can’t do it, it’s mummy’s turn. Well, lucky for me, Ethan’s papa has moved on from that stage. The only thing he doesn’t do now is feed him.

At least your Ethan sleeps early, my Darrius don’t sleep until I’m in the room and we have to pretend to be asleep or else he will starts to jump about and dives between us!
Er… I dont like BYJ, in fact I dont really like Korean actors. I prefer Japanese one leh.
The main actor in Goong is quite ok.
Anyway, with bb now, very difficult to watch TV leh.
I don’t know any Japanese actors leh so no comment…
My wife likes him too. She has a bunch of his soap operas on DVD.
