Another fun filled weekend
Typically our weekend starts after lunch on Friday as PiggyBeng only needs to work half the day. Right after lunch, PiggyBeng will go about his banking stuff and sometimes Darrius and myself will tagged along.
Last Friday, we went to shop for some plates and bowls at Far Lim Sunshine as PiggyBeng broke some the past weeks… so to replace the brokens ones, we bought a few more… Since we still have some time before the shop closes, we went to view some cars at the 2nd hand car dealers… And to end the day, we went dinner with Darrius’s Ah Gong (paternal grandfather) at this fried fish shop near Campbell Street, which was not worth mentioning… not only it’s expensive but the food sucks as well!
On Saturday, we went to another dealer’s shop to view a car and after that I treated PiggyBeng to a semi-buffet lunch at Hotel Continental along Penang Road, which we had wanted to go last weekend but it was fully booked. For just RM13++ per set (RM14.95), PiggyBeng had a Black Pepper Steak and I had Fried Salmon Steak (we were so excited that we forgot to snap any photos) and unlimited serving of soup with garlic bread, salad, juices and desserts… which we thought was a great deal indeed! The air condition was great and the crowd was small… perfect for some family time on a hot and sunny day!
I gave almost half of my Salmon steak to Darrius and I can see he was enjoying his lunch. He also had huge serving of jello and agar-agar (local jelly), banana cake, cream puffs and fruits. Since he is already 16-month+, I let him have a few sips of orange juice too… and he loved it soooo much! But I will still insist he has his own plain water to complete his meal….

Then we were off to Queens Bay Mall again… yeah… there are not that many places we can spend our day out here on this little island so it’s either Gurney Plaza or Queens Bay. The reasons being, these two places have more large areas for Darrius to walk or run about…

Btw, Darrius doesn’t seem to be picky with food, how nice!
He was in a way quite lucky but then again, he has to starts early… and work from
home most of the night too…
So far Darrius is ok with whatever we fed him and I hope it will stays this way too if not

yea..i went to Queensbay…it’s HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we got lost!..But my hub loves getting lost…he gets to see all the shops!!!!

Actually QBM is not that big but for Penang, it’s considered the biggest lioa… but hor we hardly
go around the independent shops outside… we spent most of our time in Jusco only…
The buffet is very cheap

G, the weekday buffet lunch even cheaper… at RM12 Nett! Have prawns even! And unlimited serving of salad, soup and dessert…. really value for money!
