DIY – Satay Prima
I actually cooked these on last Tuesday and did not have time to post it up till now….
This is the other DIY pack my friend bought for me. Though I don’t really fancy doing satay at home (lazy to wash the electric grill) as it encompass lots of work so I rather go out and pack 10 stick for RM5.50 or RM6 which comes with some sliced cucumber and ketupat (a type of leaves wrapped rice).

My verdict for this Prima Satay is just so-so. I think the sauce given for the marinate is kinda on the dark tone. I prefer those more yellowish tone (more tumeric) as it looks fresher as compared to the darker ones. I actually marinated both chicken and pork to check the difference in taste. Both turned out ok – edible. In fact I marinated the meat over night and not as indicated by the instruction to marinate for just 3 hours. I guess the meat tasted softer or more tender since I marinated them over night.
The big disappointment was the so-called peanut gravy which was supposed to be used to dip the satay. It does not has any peanut and it tasted too sourish instead of sweet and spicy. I threw most of the gravy away since it tasted too weird to go with the satay.
