CNY Tatoo
What a way to welcome the year of the fat Piggy!
Never expected this to happen so soon but…yeah… it is almost impossible to avoid something like this to happen especially for someone who just started to walk… and like a drunkard too! 
Darrius got his first tatoo from the table’s leg yesterday… yeah… the real painful one which he screamed so loud his tears just shoot like a fountain! *Ouch* Not going to say much and let the photos tell the story….
My mom has been reminding me to be more alert in any case something like this could happen but guess I was rather lax with Darrius thinking he will be fine… *sigh*
It was that 5 seconds my eyes was not looking (was about to switch off the fan) and I heard the ‘bokk’ sound and 1 second later a loud scream from Darrius. Luckily I acted fast enough and ran and hold him before he fell backward as he was screaming in pain.
We quickly put ice pack on the swollen area for about 10 minutes (he was squirming around and tried to wriggle away crying loudly) and we managed to suppress the bruise. Today the bruised area looked much better but his eye (left) still a little swollen.
Well, this could be the first but definitely will not be the last… guess I have to really be on my toes from now on as Darrius is walking! Time to lose some weight too!

Oh… my..!! poor, poor Darrius..!! when chloe started walking..she was very careful .. herself.. we keep telling her.. it’s dangerous.. this and that.. but of course.. we had all sharp corners.. wrapped up in cloth and sponge.. i very the “kiasu” .. make PB do this.. and do that.. till i think .. he thinks .. i’m crazy..!! but then .. chloe never had any kinda serious knocks.. or falls.. so we are quite happy about it. But i realised that by teaching Chloe real young.. that certain things are very dangerous.. for example the oven.. she NEVER goes near the oven.. nor the fireplace.. at my in-law’s place. Although we think they donch understand.. they actually do..
Och.. I can feel the pain! poor boy! It’s really not easy to look after a running toddler.
Aiyoyo!!! I see the pics also so sum toong already! After ice pack remember to put a warm hardboiled egg on the bruise. For the head, you can rub (while he is sleeping) some yu yee oil on it. When Belle had a “bungalow”, we rub that on her (I would chor the swelling for a good 15 mins).
Ai yo! I can feel the pain too! I remember my son climbing out of the playpen when he is 1+. Of course he landed hard on the floor with a ‘bao’ on his head. And you thot playing the the playpen is safe! Sigh! Got to be very alert taking care of toddlers.
I am so heartache to see Darrius hurt. Hope he gets better soon… yeah.. it happened so fast.I am also worry my Sean which now learning to walk.. to

Poor Darrius. The bruise looks really bad eh? My heart breaks into a million pieces everytime Ashley bangs her head. Am getting very paranoid too. Now she’s used to falling flat on her stomach and doesn’t cry. Instead she would say “Urrggh oh” and get up and start running again. *slap forehead*

I was really careful but sometimes things just happened *sigh* I also taught Darrius to not to go or touch things are might be dangerous around the house but guess boys are more mishievious than girls. Darrius knew he is not supposed to go near his AhMah’s (my MIL) praying altar as there are josticks and cups of water. However sometimes he LOVES all those forbidden areas!

I only put the ice pack.. that also takes some skills as Darrius was a little hysterical the first few minutes. I hv to nurse him so PB can put the ice-pack over the swollen area. I did not do the egg thingy as the swell actually subsided the next day.

I also think the playpen is not so safe especially when Darrius grew taller…. he can climb! Probably I will hv to sit with him the moment he’s awake!

Wow! your Ashley is such a tough cookie! Darrius will cry at any slight knock but sometimes we know it’s just crocodile tears as he stopped when we tried to divert his attention to something else.

Poor Darrius, that looks pretty bad. Hope the blue and black mark has disappeared already. My girl also fell down twice during 1sy day of CNY and has got a swollen bottom lip over the CNY holidays.
AiSAY!!! Poor Darrius..Growing pains, I call them.So thankful not so serious…sometimes, got nothing except the floor also can hurt themselves. Like my No.2, happily walking, next minute u know, his head like so heavy, fall n hit the floor. After that…got one BIG purple bump on his forehead.

You hang in there ah…don’t panic panic panic..as long as he CRY LOUD LOUD..then he’s ok. If pengsan ..then it’s very serious.
