*Ding-dong* We’re Back!
….^^^^….^^^^…. My connection still has not recover or is it my lousy Streamyx that is forever good for nothing?
Though I have not been blogging but I was hopping around and peeking into other people’s blogs for the past days and I must say aloud… the waiting time for these pages to load can indirectly kills me!
Is that the way it supposed to turn out to be… welcoming a brand new year??? Ok, I’m not supposed to vent my frustration for these slow moving (worst than snail) connection as there are thousand of people are without homes at the moment due to the quake, the flood and not forgetting the capsized boat and the crashed plane that has taken more lives. Maybe I just have to endure the “snailness” of my net connection and just be contented that my family are all safe and healthy.
Talk about the new year… there wasn’t any fireworks celebration since we have Darrius now but it’s good to see he’s growing and making progresses each day… and boy! Darrius really makes our less than ordinary lives interesting each day and we felt so blessed to have him with us… so our little cheeky boy is the fireworks of our lives…
We were in Ipoh together with my parents (they came up from KL) and with some uncles, aunties and cousins, we ushered in the new year without much fanfair… no cooking but savoring the plenty yummy hawker food found in Ipoh (sorry no photos). We stayed my Uncle Eddie’s house (his Malaysia property) which he used as a holiday villa and was temporary rented to my cousin sister, Yuej, as her house is still under construction in another part of Ipoh. Incidentally Sis Yuej was back in KL with her kids to spend the school holidays with her hubby, Ricky Palanti (the owner of Mango Tree in Bangsar… a fine dining experience that is affordable!
) so we have the entire house filled with toys! Darrius was having so much fun vroooooooming around the house…
They still have not unpacked thus the boxes were still stacking around the house.

My PiggyBeng has a total of 4 days off from work so we get to spent some time at home after we returned from Ipoh on Monday afternoon. Since the net connection is still crawling I hardly use the PC during the day, instead I play with my new toy….. yes! I finally got my very own oven! A present from PiggyBeng… isn’t he sweet? *muakz* *muakz*
Bakes some cakes and cookies to test out my oven as we still can return it for an exchange if we found any faults with it but so far so good and those cakes and cookies all turned out yummy!
(Will be blogging more on my bakes soon!)
Now… what’s my new year resolutions? Ok, there are lots of them and if I were to list them down… I guess there won’t be enough space for me here or I’ll bored all of you to death! So, I’m just going to mention the top few which I think they are seriously in need of some up most attention!
Top 5 Resolutions
1. To drive again
All of you will be surprised that I can’t really drive… yeah, I was scare to shit to drive on Malaysia’s roads, especially Penang’s :( It is not that I’m a ‘kopi license driver’ but I passed my drving test with flying colours…. in Perth! You see, the traffic and drivers attitudes in Perth is a huge contrast with those in Malaysia and not to mention about the roads here… sucks big time! Don’t you dare to cross the zebra crossing unless there are no cars in sight or you will be ran over for all you know!
Another big-big reason why I refused to drive is…. yeah, I have to drive PiggyBeng’s old junk… a manual one too! Though I learned to drive a manual car but it has been ages since I drove one! I used to drive to work in KL when I returned from Perth but that was a auto car so imagine going back to driving a manual car…. with the horrigible traffics and roads here in Penang… that is insanity to me!
For Darrius sake… I will have to overcome those fears and phobias…. *sigh*
2. Losing more weight
Eeeerrrr… this is my resolution over and over again for countless years and the pounds just piled up more and more and nothing is being done! hahaha I was lucky to have maintained my weight before my vacation to LA but after my return, I seemed to have ballooned up! Yes!!!! Again!!!!!!
I thought since I am still nursing Darrius, my weight will somehow be pegged to my ideal weight but I was wrong!!!!! I wallop sooooooo much burgers, fries and also tortilla chips during my LA trip and those fats has decided to stay with me!!!!!
Well, I love food, PiggyBeng loves food and no doubt that our little cheeky also loves food… so we just eat like no tomorrow during every meals! hahahah Ok…ok… must make an effort to shed some after Chinese New Year… or maybe after Mooncake festival?? Will see how…. discipline…
3. Be a good mommy and trainer to Darrius
Since I’m a SAHM, I spent most of my time with Darrius and inevitably, I have to teach him and guide him along as he grows. I have no prior experience in child minding but I guess the skills will just come along as days goes by. Soon Darrius will starts to walk, talk and learn things around him and I hope to be able to train him to the right direction.
4. To be less naggy and more understanding
Eiks! I can’t believe it! I’m starting to sound like an old aunty… nagging day in day out… especially to my PiggyBeng! Are all SAHM like that???? Well, I better do something about it or else… WW3 or WW4 might erupt!!!
5. Be more enterprising
PPP or not, I shall start my own little home business soon. Ever since I was married to PiggyBeng and with the arrival of Darrius, I was practically confined in the house… and since I can’t let go of Darrius to be cared for by another person, I have opted to be a SAHM so I can give him my full attention but that means I can’t go back to the corporate world to earn my own bucks…
OK, maybe I should get a garage* soon…. whatdaya think??? hehe
*new breed of entreprenuers are born in the garages!
Now… that was my delayed new year post and stay tuned to more back dated posts!
