Halloween in LA
31st of October is Holloween and during that day we will be in LA. This will be Darrius’s first Holloween and since we are in LA, I was quite tempted to get him a costume so he could go for ‘trick or treat’ around the hotel… guess that must be a fun thing to do!
He will be so thrilled to go about knocking on peoples’ doors and giving his ‘duh’ kinda look… hehe
Any suggestions for costume??? Thought of just give him a white cloth, cut 2 little holes for his eyes and cover his entire body… like a Little Casper… hehee
Or, maybe I put those masks for him???
PiggyBeng said I sot-sot but this is a once-in-a-life-time kinda thing mah… how often we get a chance to be in LA for Holloween right??

Drive to a nice neighbourhood around 6.30pm..and go trick & treating there. Sure will get a lot of good chocolates and candies! Target has some reasonable Halloween clothes.
Can’t wait! Can we just knock on anyone’s door and say ‘trick or treats’??? Will they ask my Darrius do any funny tricks or not???? Very excited lar… this is our 1st. Had it once in Perth but we are so kind to give candies to every kids that knocked on our door….
Very fun!! I want to copy your idea!!
Go ahead and have fun with Anne. I’m sure it will be a great experience too since you guys are in Europe now.
Sounds nice. Though he may not like things on his head. (My son did not like masks or hats until he is like 4)
Halloween is a lot of fun at the nice malls. Safer and you can avoid the worries of poison candy or razor blade apples. It’s sick, but it seems to happen every year.
Of course trick or treat in Beverly Hills might be very chic.
Yeah… I think he will keep pulling away whatever we try to drape over him but will see if we can get something that he can’t ‘removed’ hehehe..
You mean we can do that at the malls??? That will be so cool!! Beverly Hill a bit out of the way… don’t think PiggyBeng is keen to drive us there… he already said I’m sot-sot (crazy) …
there is a nice neighborhood all decorated with halloween stuff in south torrance area. we may be bringing little brandon there on halloween. will have to see if he is sleeping or awake, or else we may cancel the trip out.
Maybe we could meet for dinner and go trick or treat after that! It will be so fun!
got very good ideas from babycenter website

Will try to get something fun at the malls… but not spending a bomb on that lar… hehe
the casper costume should be easiest to get & cheap. there are quite a lot of costumes in toys r us but kinda pricey..maybe u can get better stuff n maybe even cheaper in the US like in K-mart or Target or something…so fun!
Yeap… will sure go to K-Mart or Target coz they have more selections and price wise not too expensive. Can’t wait for the fun!
Wah, so nice, can travel to LA with the kid! Have fun ya and take many many photos!
Just call the malls or ask the hotel concierge to make sure they have it. Most do.
haha that’ll be fun lerr..hmm get a bee costume? My mil bought one for faythe in penang
You can try to find the costume from Toys r us, wow, i am looking forward to see the pictures LOL!
Happy Holiday in LA!
Hey, you really should go trick or treating. Its a load of fun! I used to take my little blond haired cousin Nicholas, then 2,(aunt married a Canadian) around the malls treat or tricking when i used to live in British Columbia, Canada, with my aunt after i graduated, and he would come home everyday with a whole load of mini candies and sweets and chocolate in his little pumpkin lantern. All you have to do is say “trick or treat?” and they will drop a candy in your lantern. i think you can get the hotel management for information on how to rent one.
oops, i mean, rent a costume. have a great holiday! just read your private message in MMB and realise you have left for your trip
