Fit-flop your elephant thighs away!

Published by Angeleyes under Shopping, BDMM

In less than 2 weeks we will be in Lion City! The excitement is definitely building up, especially for me! And the funny thing is, I have been shopping a lot too so I am all comfortable from head to toes when I reach Lion City for more shopping trips! I have gotten some tops and a few pants and the only thing that I’m lack of now is a pair of good shoes for the nights and a pair of sandles/ flip-flops for the days when I will be walking endlessly!

The thing I love most about Singapore is, I can walk and walk. When I used to live there, I hardly put on weight as I walk so much! Now that I am in Penang, I don’t have much chance to walk and hence, I have more love handles than I can handle and not to mention my pair of ever growing elephant thighs!

You won’t believe how happy I was when I discovered a type of sandles that can help people like us with elephant thighs to have a pair of toned and slim legs again! Bet you have not heard of them before and these cool Fitflops are the leg-slimming secret of women all over England now!

These Fit Flops were launched last Summer and was soon sold out! It is said that every step you take in your FitFlops helps tone, trim and tighten without any trips to the gym at all! Isn’t it great to know that we can save all those gym memberships and yet still have a pair of toned thighs and bum??!! These FitFlops have micro wobbleboard™ technology incorporated in them, to give the wearer a workout while they walk. This challenges hard to reach muscles and has been shown to have significant effect on toning the muscles of your thighs and bum.

With a pair of Fit Flop I can walk in comfort while I check out all the malls in Singapore and not having any sore feet. Now available in six colours, these are a ‘must have’ for those of you who are a serial shopaholic like me! These fitflops are flying off the shelves faster than your eyes blink so you better get your feet on them quick from SweatyBetty.com now!

Good time to invest in properties?

Published by Angeleyes under Kerja Sampingan, PJT-A

Yesterday I was in Queensbay Mall and I was surprised that the Watson branch there has closed down! Then while I was walking past some of the shops, I realized that a few more has changed hands. I was there during lunch hour and some of the restaurants are practically empty! Geez, time is really bad…

I told PiggyBeng what I saw and he told me that the oil prices has dropped and very soon the property market bubble will burst. He then told me that in the next few months or by the beginning of next year, we might see a slump in the economy especially in the property market, which will be a good time for investment.

Though we are not seriously thinking of investing in any properties but the soft property market might be a good time to do so. PiggyBeng was joking that he might want to invest in a unit in Queensbay Mall! Well, maybe with online mortgage, he might get to realize his dream…

The seriousness of Mesothelioma

Published by Angeleyes under Kerja Sampingan, PJT-A

If you are in the building and construction sector, chances of you dealing with asbestos can be quite high especially for those who are working on the site. Though I am not directly involved but I do helped one of my relative to do some administration stuff so I know a little here and there.

It seemed that not many people are aware about the negative and seriousness effects that asbestos has on us. Mesothelioma is an asbestos-caused cancer of the serious membranes that surround many of the body’s vital organs. These membranes, known as mesothelium, secrete a lubricating fluid that provide an easy movement of the organs within the body. The most common form of the disease is pleural mesothelioma, which affects the membranes that surround the lungs.

There are a lot more things that we should be aware of and if you have anyone who are in the building and construction industry, do inform them about mesothelioma.

Stay ahead and not left behind!

Published by Angeleyes under Kerja Sampingan, PJT-G

With uncertainties looming, those who are in the corporate world will again be put on the thin line when the economy continue to slide backward. More head count freeze or even retrenchments are expected if the economy don’t pick up fast enough.

Though I may not be affected but I have been telling those I knew who has no college diploma or degree with them to quickly upgrade themselves so they can still compete with with the rest in the big rat race. Although Malaysia is not a paper chase country but with more and more graduates these days, those who do not has a degree will ultimately lose out.

So, if you do not have any diploma or degree, it is best to consider getting one. There are many online college courses being offered these days so there are no excuses why you can’t get one if you are determined enough. It is always better to stay ahead than to be left behind!

Ooopsie!

Published by Angeleyes under My Prince, Alamak!

Darrius was quite constipated the past few days (the head of his poo is very hard) so I thought I could give him some laxative soft food to help him ease his poo-poo sessions coz every time his face will get all red up when he tried pushing and complaint that his ‘pi-gu’ (back side) pain-pain. I decided to make him some fresh orange juice and gave him a few prunes for his afternoon snack yesterday.

His poo was quite soft when this morning as compared to the last few days. I thought I will continue to give him more prunes which will help his bowel movement. Today I gave him a few more prunes for his morning snack.

While I was feeding him his dinner (he was taking ages to finish!) and when we were about to finish (left with 2 spoonful)… he suddenly farted! He was seated on the floor at that time as I was about to scoop another spoonful into his mouth and suddenly I saw something not right from his expression. He quickly stood up and I saw something trickle down his feet!

Horror strike! It was his poo-poo! Out of the blue, he was having diarrhea! I screamed for PiggyBeng while Darrius stood there, stunned.  We quickly carried him to the toilet to wash him and he was screaming with fear.

PiggyBeng helped to wash him while I clean the floor up… yucks!

After I dressed him up he told me that his stomach ‘pain-pain’. He asked to go to the toilet again an hour later and had another diarrhea session. Poor boy!

I wonder if I have given him a little too much prunes for the past two days….

Jusco @ Bukit Tinggi

After our Bak Kut Teh fix we drove up to Bukit Tinggi where the newest and biggest Jusco is located. We have not been to Bukit Tinggi before and was surprised by how huge Klang is and the land is very flat too. Probably due to the fact that it is nearer to the sea.

We arrived around 1pm and that place was already so crowded. There was some kind of event taking place at the out door carpark that day and was filled with people. The place has ample parking… I mean really ample! Besides the very huge outdoor parking, they also have basement and upper floors. We parked on the upper floor. I SMSed Shannon and told her I’m in Bukit Tinggi and see if she could meet with up with us since she is staying in Klang. Too bad she was busy that day so we did not get to meet.

The mall is very new indeed with all the tiles still shinning bright! I think it about the size of Queensbay Mall or slightly bigger. And they have a really good mix of tenants. Even the Jusco departmental store space are huge! I spent more than 30 mins browsing at the household sections!Managed to find some Bento stuff for about RM6 each. Very happy with the find.

We did not get to actually walk on all the floors as Darrius was stuck in the kiddyland for so long. Luckily PiggyBeng was with us so he brought Darrius around and I was free to browse on other stuff.

We only managed to cover the top and bottom floors and skipped the 2nd floor shops. There was a local produce event at the ground floor and there were lots of ‘tasting’ going on which my dad enjoyed… Darrius was very happy he gets to drink so many cups of milks!

We left after 3 hours as the place was getting more and more crowded. The sky was still very gloomy when we left and it started to rain not long after. We proceed to PiggyBeng’s uncle’s place in Sri Damansara after that…

Times are bad…

Published by Angeleyes under Others, Kerja Sampingan

Today I was reading the news and I came across news about people are beginning to cut down on a lot of stuff due to the high fuel price. Everyone is feeling the pinch now and even those who are not overly concern earlier are starting to be more practical… spending on only the necessary.

I wonder how long the weak economy will last. If prices of things continue to spiral, I can see a lot more people will get hit badly from it especially those hard core poor people. Really feel sorry for them. Like the news of a poor couple who has just given birth to a set of triplets… the family already has two other kids and with the 3 newborns, the couple can hardly afford to care for the babies. Luckily the newspaper highlighted their plight and a lot of kind souls are donating cash as well as daily necessities to them.

And I can’t blame those people who are willing to queue to buy 4D or TOTO. There are some who are more tempted by bigger wins… they are willing to drive all the way up to Genting and try their luck in the casino. For those who are not that extreme, might try their luck at those internet casinos from the comfort of their home. Some extra cash will definitely be a great help during these tough periods.

Daddy, I make Bento for you ah?

Published by Angeleyes under Bleh~

Since I have not really started on my Bento adventure, I want to see if I could prepare just one or do multiple to save on the extra food and ingredients if I really-really embark on the project. Must know if there are takers or not mah…
PiggyBeng cooked Hokkien Mee last weekend and he bought so much yellow noodles (can feed an army) we are not able (actually he is not able since I only eat 1 bowl!) to finish. So, the next day I decided to fry the noodles. Still we are unable to finish and left with a box. Out of curiosity, I asked PiggyBeng…

Me: Daddy, I make Bento for you ah? You bring to office and makan.

PiggyBeng: Don’t want lar… you know I don’t take breakfast.

Me: You keep it for lunch lar so can save some lunch money.

PiggyBeng: Don’t want lar…. you know I can’t keep food… once I see them I must eat them! I can never keep food in my cubicle one…

Me: :|

.

There goes my plan…. *sigh*

A packed day

Published by Angeleyes under Rants, Blogging, Family

Another backdated post….

.

30th June 2008

We have an extremely packed day on the date above.

It was the day before we return to Penang. We were out very early… we are on the road by 9.30am as PiggyBeng needs to get some emails out first. Our first destination was the headquarter of our country’s most ‘BOLEH‘ force. Before leaving, PiggyBeng already checked all the necessary so we thought we were fine and used the longer way there to avoid some tolls.

When we reached the guard house, we were that PiggyBeng cannot go in. Why? Because he was wearing bermuda and a pair of fake Crocs shoes! We were totally caught dumbfounded. PiggyBeng was soooooo mad and we have to dash home to change! We wasted a total of 1.5 hours for that.
